Lightbulb Lightweight windshield find

i would be posting this normally in the 2g tl forum but your 3g seems to have more performance people. i found a website that sells light weight windshields that are suppose to reduce windshield weight by over 50% and be 250 times stronger than our regular windshield and look basically the same. (NOT LEXAN)
http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?fo...ction=category if i had the money to do it i would... removing alot of weight from up high and towards front wheels. best of both worlds for reducing the weight. anyone done this?

would be nice to have. But FYI, polycarbonate is LEXAN. So yes they are lexan. Wouldn't want to do this on a street car though, lexan scratches easily and the wipers alone would ruin a very expensive piece of lexan almost immediately.

I think the TLs come with acoustic windshields, which might be heavier than some regular replacement windshields. It might be something to look into if a windshield is going to be replaced.

oh i guess i should have done some research. i think on the website it states that you can use wipers with it? it has some coating on it as well? any other options besides lexan then?

not really, no. Plus that's a heck of a lot of money for a lighter windshield.

Not legal for road use. Only safety glass can be used for windshields for road vehicles. Some states even forbid polycarbonate for side windows too.
