even if they discontinued the aspec kit i think there would be issue with those who purchased the kit needing a warranty with the suspension, or even returning for basic service regarding the suspension. while this issue was cleared up on page one it still wouldnt make sense on acuras part due to the high number of kits already out on the market...

And that's the way it should be sold. A factory installed optional sports package with the suspension changes and 18" wheels. It should easily cost less than $1500.

They would sell a ton of them.

lol...added the coilovers a couple of months ago, so I guess the same is true for me...didn't really think about that as no one sees the suspension or will ever drive the car to know it's there.

I agree with everyon'es points about marketing. I didn't even know about the A-Spec pkg. until after I bought my TL. Not one dealer I visited while shopping mentioned it; I was already asking about 18" wheels and rear spoiler!!! It's almost as if the sales guys don't even know about it....
Add that to the prices quoted through the dealers and all I can do is scratch my head thinking "how the he11 does Acura expect to sell this???"

Anyway...I did mine piecemeal and am thrilled with the car. Blows away the stock TL!

As far as design changes...I want to see horizontal clear lines in the taillights to break up the red plastic. The tails could use a little more going on as they're pretty conservative from a design standpoint.

2006 A-spec kit installed

Pierce

Well I didn't have a problem getting the Kit for 06. The only difference the dealer told of at first is that for 06 I don't have a choice between rims cause they r going to have only one rim with the TPMS - the gunmetal finish rim. Si I leave the car at the dealers to delivered to me post A-spec installation and what do I find

no A-spec steering wheel. I called the sales guy who asks the service manager and then comes back and tells me for 06 they r offering the steering wheel as a seperate accesory and not as part of the A-spec. I do a little research and have forwarded the sales guy a couple of links from Honda's website as well as Acura's site where they have described the 2006 a-SPEC kit as having the steering wheel included.

http://www.acura.com/models/model_pe....asp?module=tl

the Honda website

The sales guy (Jon Bennett chapman acura, tucson, AZ) said that the service guy had told me to call Acura and "Bitch" about not having sent the steering wheel with the A-spec which I did. what I don't understand is why do I have to bitch isn't it their obligation to provide me with everything that is part of the A-spec kit without me having to call Acura and stuff??

You had to do the bitching because Acura, as a luxury company, is a joke.

Doesnt mean the car isnt beautiful or full of features, but neither the dealerships nor ACS has any clue about luxury treatment and logic.

luxury costs $$$ and we didn't spend enough like lexus owners did. and i'm actually ok with that considering all the money i saved. imagine u tipped $20 each time to whoever came in contact with you at the service department. i'd bet u'd get great services too. ha.

Dude! This is the wrong attitude. We spend just as much as Lexus or Infiniti owners.
