some simple ways of getting some power

Im not to into goin crazy modding my Tl cause my consentration is towards the Rx7. but i was thinking about some simple ways of getting power. not a lot, but something.

I noticed that there is a plastic "shield"? thats covering my intake right infront of the battery. Its litterly covering the intake. Is it just me, or dont u think thatll restrict airflow>?? other than that, Can anyone here think of anything else than, ground kit, good air-filter and removing this shit thats covering my intake to make couple extra horsepower. Im eventualy gonna get an AEM cold air after reading about it, but not yet.

Thanks lots for whoever reasponds. I know this isnt the most exciting question.

Are you talking about the shield behind the grill inlet? That is there to help prevent water (vapor, splash, ect) from entering that area and getting into your intake.

throttle body coolant bypass - free
remove plastic shrouds to allow better release of heat - free
remove useless items from the car such as hood/trunk lining materials to decrease weight - free

on your next service, why not do a k&n drop-in filter and upgrade spark plugs.

these a fairly minor items that won't net much unless your car is modified significantly. maybe you would see something like 5hp crank, at most 10, but i think thats pushing it.

probably put some big stickers and blast some techno music, that will get u like an extra 100 horsepower. hehe jk. ya i was thinking more along the lines of changing your air filter or changing some of ur OEM belts for lighter, sturdier racing belts. thats probably the cheapest and simplest things i can think of

I put on the Hypervoltage system and the ground system...easy installation, low cost, slight hp/torque gain.

I heard that putting a flux capacitor in works wonders but only after you get to 88 MPH.

BTW....if you buy an AEM or Injen CAI...coolant bypass on the throttle body is one of the first things they have you do if I recall>
