Single-Exit HKS Exhaust Writeup ***Pics and Videos*** lol
I've had a few people ask me to make an exhaust clip with my setup, so I went out to the local canyon run and did it.
75mm hks carbon ti single outlet
2.5 inch straight piping
ATLP Race pipe
ATLP J-pipe
Fujita CAI
Obviously, the exhaust is very very aggressive--both appearance wise and sound wise. Probably not meant for most of the TL crowd, oh well.
As far as gains go... I could feel a harder pull when i first installed the exhaust-- I'm not sure how comparable the gains are with atlp/xlr8/greddy/comptech, but I doubt it'd be THAT big of a difference anyways. To be completely honest, I liked the idea of a single exit hks because it looks great (imo) and it's cheaper than buying the complete exhaust systems, plus it does give some noticable gains.
I also recorded an in-cabin sound clip to show the level of droniness... It's kinda loud, but bearable. It's music to my ears
These next two clips were recorded BEFORE the Jpipe, race pipe, and CAI were installed. Basically all stock other than the hks muffler and 2.5in piping.
(my car is 3rd, ib18c1's is last with the ATLP)
Even though it's noticably louder than the ATLP exhaust, when comparing it to my friend's cars, it's seriously nothing LOL, as seen in this video:
(my car's 2nd to last towards the end, then the loud ass civic ZOMGGG)
Well, hope this helps anyone else trying to go for the single exit route!! Feel free to ask any questions. Happy modding!

The single exit definately looks really nice...but the other bumper opening is soo naked I wish there was a piece that could clip into that spot and fill it in so it would make the single muffler stand out that much more perfectly.
Either way it sounds amazing, like twin turbo supras

Yea there is, depends how the tubing was routed
When I did mine
I got a few mandrel bends and a few pieces of straight pipe + a rv6 performance 2.5" mild stainless flange.. And also did a 3 bolt flange just after the sway bar which controls the level of the angle..., I had mine angled so far I actually bottomed out and lost 2 of the bolts on that rear flanged resulting in a massive exhaust leak rofl...
Anyway I digress
I should've taken pics of it before I removed it

yeah forsure I just have to get used to it but it looks good so im almost there haha.
I know its probably obvious but does the single exit route significantly increase exhaust flow as it seems that there is less disruption and bends compared to the splitting of the pipes with the conventional dual exit setup?
not to mention one less muffler to flow through

I think it probably would, I dont think anyone has done any dyno's with the single, so it's not certain. It make sense though.

What shop did you take it to get this done? & How much did it cost for them to install it? Lol sorry last question did you have them run the straight pipe from your cats? Thanks!
