Single exhaust?

I have a plan and was wondering what you guys would think of it....

I wanted to run a single borla exhaust and cap off or somehow fill-in the rear aspec lip (left side) exhaust cut out..

My question is..
Will it be better to run a single or dual exhaust?
Whats your opinions on borla?
Do you guys think it will look good?
Or do you guys think its a waste of time and money because I have an automatic?

I dont think anyone has done this yet. When I say done this, I mean cap off the left exhaust outlet.

well the rear aspec has that grey raw plastic look... so if you decided to lay a sheet of frp accross the opening then sand down the edges and then paint the rear like a flat black it will work

as for using borla as a single muffler... make sure you do 2.5" tubing, and make sure you get a banging tip

why not do what i have been thinking of doing and put in 2 HKS TI-tips with 2.5" from 3rd cat to a y-pipe and than 2.25" to the two cans. I am thinking of cutting in and welding a boltable flange just before the y-pipe so i can change up the exhaust tips from time to time.

Im interested in the single route aswell. I think single exhaust 2.5'' would yield better top end gains and the dual would shine better lower in the rpm range. However i'm just guessing.....

Since we have a two-into-one-into-two exhaust layout anyway, going to a single all the way back is just a matter of preference, really. 2.5" all the way back, including the muffler, ought to do it nicely.

I like the look of the duals, but a single with two tips on one side (like the old Monza-type mufflers on the BMWs) might look cool, too.
