Should I Mod?!

I just bought a 07 TLs with 101k miles on it from 1 owner and the guy was the head mechanic at the acura dealership so I know the car is pretty much new. I want to do a couple mods on it but im wondering if its really worth it due to the millage.

lol, what a weird question. its your car, its totally up to you. honda/acura motors last forever.

food for thought: why would you buy it if you didn't think it would last a while?

You mod so you can enjoy. You enjoy because you put money into the build. You build because it's a hobby.

Weather it's auto or manual, do something with it and enjoy it while the motor goes downhill on it's life span.

^agreed. have fun with your car. it's yours. you bought it, personalize it and enjoy it.

these motors last a long time if maintained properly. just don't beat on it and drive it like you stole it everyday and you'll be fine.

Tasteful modification. Moderate, performance oriented suspension, Jpipe and PCDs, intake, Aspec kit. That's a good place to start.

Most of the effective mods for the TL don't "age" the motor any faster. There are argueable exceptions of course (ie. forced induction) but for the most part mods will only free up power. If anything, I'd think many of them would ease the strain on the motor. Many of the TL's performance mods are "efficiency" mods. Freeing up exhaust flow, intake flow, weight loss, etc. Advanced stuff like ECU and FI are power adders but they aren't for the faint of heart of light of wallet IMO.

tbh I am completely new to modding and I do have some ideas in mind. I take a few pictures and show my progress. I really appreciate the feedback and sorry for coming off so new to all of this.

Did you buy your car just for boredom or for fun? You decide.

Experiencing this now. In the last two weeks I've already done CAI, mid-muffler delete, StopTech rotors, new grill, and various paint jobs.
Four months ago I swore by the gods my car would remain stock. Now I'm currently waiting for my switchback LEDs followed by a J-pipe.
I figure I'll be in progress for a while, because it's a ton of fun.

no, but life, family, kids, and bills, certainly slow it down.
