Should I Do it?

Need some prices guys

I recently ordered my rear Aspec underbody spoiler for the TL and was going to order the Greddy Exhaust system. After some serious thinking I cancelled the order from Acura of Peroria.

I was thinking about getting the Type S rear underbody spoiler and get maybe ATLP exhaust.....

How much would it be (estimation) if I:

Greddy Exhaust System + Rear Aspec base spoiler:

ATLP Exhaust system + Types S under body spoiler:

OR can i just get the Type S underbody spoiler and change the TIPS on the Greddy Exhaust:

I thought you would also need to get the Type-S rear bumper?

Some people have fit the ATLP exhaust on the A-spec rear, but it required some cutting.

Also I think he is going to put the Type-S rear and ATLP exhaust.

So I guess he's asking which bundle would be better and cheaper.

ATLP exhaust + Type-S rear apron

or

GReddy exhaust + Aspec rear apron

Well the cheaper route is the GReddy exhaust, but as far as looks its subjective, depends on what you like. Big canisters or quad tips.

i have the stock type s exhaust with the 05 rear body kit....i cut about 3 inches off the kit n bumper to fit them on the inside to make em fit....looks good cant really see cuts or anything unless u get down on ur knees and since im getting parts repainted a sick color the cuts will then be shaved properly and really unnoticable.

Wouldn't it be hard to change the tips on a Greddy exhaust since it has the canisters? The opening out of the canister is huge so how would you make it look more OEM?

I did some research myself as to which exhaust to get. Overall I found that the Greddy yields slightly more hp then the Comptech or ATLP. No midpipe res with the Greddy= less restriction!

Thank you! If you need any help just yell.

Also it looks better now that I put mesh grill in the bottom.

I could be wrong but the ATLP does not have a mid pipe either.

You can make it fit, you just need to cut it a bit.

yea u cut away some of the old bumper because of the lower grill they added in 07.... and 2 slices on the sides of the bumper because it has notches to either be tied down or have a slotted fit.

How many times do we have to cover this...

You can mount the TL-S lip to a base TL with a small amount of dremelling.
Here's a great "how to"...
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...highlight=atlp

FWIW I vote ATLP... See my review here:
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...highlight=atlp

Noone's ever done back to back dyno runs on the different exhausts, so using the published numbers as a guide is futile as each gain is established on a different dyno. A difference of 5 HP is the difference in taking a shit between dyno runs btw...

The lips costs what they cost, and they're about the same... The Greddy will be cheaper, as it's a cheaper system.

There have been a few Greddy's for sale in the BM for cheap... That's a key point, though. There have been 6 or so of the Greddy sold in the BM since they were released as the original buyer found they're freaking LOUD. I've never seen a ATLP for sale in the BM, that shows you the customer satisfaction there.

Again, i couldn't be more pleased with mine... and trimming up the rear bumper to make the type-s lip fit is not a big deal.

Fuck that... Cabin drone sucks ass. Supercharger whine is music, exhaust drone at 70 mph blows... I could not disagree more that "the more noise the better". More of the right noise is better, which is why I'm looking at a supercharger CAI... but more exhaust drone is not welcome in any scenario...

ATLP on blown 3.2 FTW

I have everything I need for the CIA but just have not had the time. I can only guess how sick it is going to be.
