Searching for Tim, username "Inaccurate".

I have some questions for the infamous "TL Diet" guy as my car is almost a 100% carbon copy of his, with a few more go fast parts than his had and I need his guidance about which way to take the car now as it's almost finished but I'm hitting a wall for what it can do with all the weight stripped out. Anyone know his whereabouts? Last I heard he sold the car. Thanks.

He's had a few sightings on grndr app, but other than that, he's been pretty dormant, man.
Ask "swoosh" aka Anil Sadpadawani for his contact info, him and Rex are probably not on the forums much anymore, if at all.
Or try PM'ing him, I guess.

Sorry, I'm really of no help.

Yeah I tried to message him a while back. No response. I spent a monstrous amount of money on the car to build it as close to his as I could ($10k, because I changed my mind about many things, and got overnight shipping on literally every single thing). The least that could happen for me is to talk to this guy and hear from him that I did a good job.

The search continues I guess..

Sounds like he's just looking for a couple hours with the guy to lend his ear. Maybe some veal and chianti to go with it.

Yeah I just wanted to see if he ever upgraded to the J37 equipment and also if going 3 inch on his exhaust made a huge diff, since if I remember correctly he didn't do 2.5 first (which I have). He jumped straight to 3.0 from the stock 2.25. I drag my car on the regular so I want my money to go to mods that will actually truly help as I've heard many different things about 3 inch exhaust in particular

probably some one even BETTER than Tim, as Rex actually puts his farther-stripped-down-than-inaccurate's-TL through its paces, as he is the track king.

Why not weld on a dump activated by RPM? Play around with what RPM gives the best power. Since you 1/4 mile, you're likely going to keep it open except for launch I would think. Also what about a lightweight battery? Have you stripped the sound deadening? You could port and polish the runners and manifold yourself, it's not hard, just time consuming.

Sound deadening is definitely next. I'm out of money so all my mods have to be free from this point forward until I get more money.

I've heard people have had good luck drilling holes in bumpers other body panels for weight savings.

It's free if you already have a drill

I only quickly skimmed your mod list, but have you removed the front and rear bumpers? Not the plastic cover, but the metal bumpers themselves?

I would have done the rear a lot sooner but it is a pain in the ass to do the rear one as opposed to the front

Has anyone ever tried a front bumper vent mounted velocity stack on our car? Considering doing it as all I need is the correct diameter elbow piping to come off the end of the CAI to point it out toward the front of the car and then of course the proper diameter velocity stack to coincide with
said elbow piping. Would give me that true Ram air effect I'm looking for. Obviously not ideal as a daily but my car isn't a daily. My feet are.

This is certainly NOT a free mod. Dry Ice isn't super cheap and the stuff in my TL required a ton of grinding/sanding to fully remove. The dry ice took up most of it, but left a thin layer of the tar/adhesive on the sheet metal that was annoying to look at and work around. The time required as well was extensive.

Also an expensive and time consuming mod. It'll chew through drill bits very quickly, I recommend a simple removal of both.

I would not advise this. The belt routing just doesn't really support it and I don't think my steering rack would hold up long unpowered.

I think a NACA or another similar style vent would be much better served on the front of the car. Hence my front bumper...
