S/C Install Question

Is there a difference in the 04-05 ACM module pin layout vs an 06.

I don't even know if I am asking the right question but if someone could help shine some light I would appreciate it.

What could I do to get the right one?

Thanks!

Brent, no the only difference between the 04-05 and 06 is the wires that you have to cut and tap into for the four wires. The plugs for the ecu and the acm plug right in regardless of the year its what the installer has to do that can be done differently depending on the year. It is all outlined in the instructions so they shouldnt be having a problem. Let me know how it works out or if you have any other questions, Ryan

Pics of the bikes?

I know you are about warn thin with me but I went by the shop to see what they were talking about. Everything is in, only hold up is this ECU ACM thing.

I did not believe them when they told me but the ACM can not plug into the ECM via the A31 because the slots don't match up. When I say the slots dont match up one slot is high and one is low and with my ECU you physically can't plug it in. I know it sounds silly.

Is there maybe something we are missing?

Brent i am assuming you have an 06, the A and E connectors are the same for 04-06. The only difference in wiring is the D5 pin and C5 which is the map sensor. The E connector for the 04-05 is for the injector circuits and the A connector for the 06 is for the injector circuit. There should be no reason that the plug will not match up to the ecu. Does the male side of the plug (the factory plug for connector A) plug into the female side of the wiring adapter for the acm? And the wiring adapter male side not fit into the ecu? If so take a picture of the male side of both plugs so i can see the difference in the connector. I know its hard over the computer but i will try to help the best i can.

What's your maufacture date...

Maybe Acura changed the harness plugs in late 2006 for some reason.

More concerningly, what are you gonna do?

Competch, RYAN97812, the tech who is installing it, and a third party acura mech say it will plug in fine once they cut the plastic so it fits.

Hopefully I will get the car back tomorrow

Comptech said they have seen the samething twice before from different acura dealers installing it. Both time they cut the plasit to fit. Fortunately the pin layout is the same.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Your going to love the whine! It's addicting. 286 sounds good for an AT with those mods.
