RV6 v3 J-pipe

I purchased my j-pipe used from a member and it didn't include any gaskets

Hey guys I'm in the middle of installing my j-pipe right now. I had a xlr8 v1 previously and I figured I could just re-use my old gaskets from the xlr8 j-pipe for my rv6 v3 jpipe.

Well I was wrong (sorta). The first 2 gaskets that connect to the pre-cats fit just fine. However, the 3rd gasket that was previously on my xlr8 that connects to the 3rd catalytic converter WILL NOT fit for my rv6 j-pipe in the same spot.

I want to finish this install today before the sun goes down w/in a hour.

Can I just bolt it up using no gasket for where the 3rd cat used to belong (rv6 deletes the 3rd cat) ? Is there some type of "liquid gasket" that I can go to some store and buy?

The only places down the street are autozone and oreilly auto.. Help much appreciated!

What made you go with richies v3 over xlr8 v2? Couldn't beat the price you got it for? I'm going to be purchasing mine soon with my tax refund. Been researching for a couple days now lol it seems to me that their both + - 3hp of eachother. I KNoW there are alot of forums on j-pipes but I just want to know what made YOU go with richies.

Since he got it used, it may have just been a simple convergence of price and opportunity.

I thought you could buy exhaust gasket material?

Sorry for the late reply, but actually the same day that I posted this thread I ended up going to autozone to buy a silicone gasket maker.

I knew for sure that there was some type of "gasket maker" in the market, just didn't know what it was called. I used it and it works just fine

The reason why I went with the V3 Jpipe over the XLR8 v2 was because I bought it from a member locally and I ended up getting the V3 Jpipe + V3 Precat Deletes for only $600. Even with the for sale price at rv6performance it'll total $800 and +/- $50 for shipping. Granted that's for BRAND NEW, however I bought mines used with less than 2,000 miles on it. They are still pretty shiny
