RV6 V2 Precat Delete

You guys asked for them and here they are, RV6 V2 Precat deletes. The V2 Precat deletes are made with thicker 2.0mm pipping opposed to 1.2mm in the V1. They also come with angled O2 simulators which are more reliable.

Richie,

On your website, the product description for these V2 Precat Deletes has the following text -

my guess is when people mix and match the innovative mounts with the stock units. example, front innovative mount with rear stock mount or visa/versa.

richie, glad your using thicker material now. i recently had to weld my rear V1 precat around the flange and hoping it holds up ok :/

Yes they are more durable the thicker metal allows for deeper penetrating welds.

It all depends on your exhaust setup but the precat deletes should be used with a Jpipe. On my 3.0 V6 Accord MT gained 15HPW/7WTQ using precat deletes, V1 Jpipe, test pipe and Tanabe exhaust.

There were a few people that installed 3 or the 4 innovated mounts. Skipping the rear mount since it was a difficult install. They snapped a couple of precat deletes before realizing the problem.

Richie nice improvement. id expect the gains to remain the same. richie that dyno isnt accurate since it was 2 diff cars n dynos. cubanob on v6 p got 25whp gain with just the PCs and 3" exhaust with oem jpipe which is more like it. The PCs themselves should be 10-12whp. I cant wait to get a set!

Quick question are you running the precat deletes with the V2 ATLP jpipe? I have a customer that says it shifts the whole jpipe over.

yes it does ever so slightly. i simply grinded down the damper underneath the k frame a bit and it fit right in with plenty of clearance

glad you chose to make these things stronger richie, cause these PCD's are probably the BEST "bang for the buck" exhaust mod you can do for these cars. BTW, did you say you have some repaired V1 deletes that you can trade for a defective one? cause my rear one cracked and i patched it with a small weld for now to get me by.

Hey i did a pre-post dyno... just not on the "same day"

I gained like 20whp, and like 15wtq from just installing those on my Type-S (on top of all my other mods)

Is is raspy with the evo's? I've been debating FOREVER, just scared of that raspyness sound that will possibly come out. I'm running k&n, pulley, xlr8 jpipe, rv6 res cat, and evo2's. Did it make more or less drone inside?

Escobar7,

When you say that you "put the stock exhaust back on", do you mean

Precat Deletes --> ATLP Jpipe --> Race pipe --> OEM cataback

If so, did the oem catback (with oem resonator) eliminate the rasp?

Are 1 of the deletes suppose to have a bend in them? Guessing for clearance issues?

^ yea if you look at the rear cat... it has the bend also... its more like an angle than a bend... its to clear the rear frame... its normal and is supposed to be like that...

I got my deletes installed this weekend. One word... WOW !

The craftsmanship and fit.... WOW!
The sound at idle... WOW!
The sound at wot.... WOW!
The power.... WOW!

Thank you Richie for bringing these to the market!

I was scared to start the car for the first time. I was just gritting my teeth for what I might hear (too loud). I turned the key..... Growl, burble, burble, burble. I got a huge ass grin. "Damn, that sounds identical to a G35 coupe!". Not too loud, just perfect.

Goose the throttle..... again "Damn, that sounds identical to a G35 coupe!". Not too loud, just perfect.

Wot thru 1st gear = Someone else (I forgot who) phrased it well. If I was the other driver trying to race me and I heard that TL, I would roll-up my windows and shift into high gear quick. :surrender ...LOL !!

For reference, my setup is =

Precat Deletes --> XLR8 Jpipe --> RV6 Race pipe --> OEM catback(with midmuffler delete)

I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THESE DELETES !!!

"What's that smell?.... Smells like Victory !
The smell is beautiful. This is *not* a raw unburnt fuel smell. This is*not* a rotten egg smell. This is the smell of a healthy engine. It smells like my motorcycle smelled.. a big ass 1100cc Superbike. "I love the smell of exhaust in the morning".

BTW, many folks that install the deletes think that they have an exhaust leak. That is *no* leak. That is how tube headers sound. I have had real tube headers on my small block chevy motor. And the precat deletes sound just the way that I would expect. Guys, that is no leak. It is the way it is suppose to sound.

Did I mention that I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THESE DELETES !!!

Cats Vs. deletes = 12 Lbs reduction

Deletes, race pipe, misc brackets and heat shields deleted = 14 Lbs reduction

Do two searches within the Performance subforum for the word "delete" and "deletes". Many good threads that will guide your decision. This is how I research the deletes before purchasing mine.
