I just got my Resonated Test pipe today also and I'm running the Greddy's as well. This weekend I will be installing the test pipe along with XLR8's Jpipe. I'll see if I can get some video's and pics up of the before and after.

it wont be to loud it will have a better tone...

the reason why ppl get the smell is because they do the pre deletes and Test pipe no cats = smell... but i dont think that set up will be to loud

you in LI?

Like milk man said, only the pre-cats cause the gasoline smell. You will be fine with the jpipe and 3rd cat delete

once you get your ride with full exhaust bolts... the difference is night and day... your car will be heard... your neighbors will hate you.... people will hear you before they see you coming... and nobody will want to race you, because your car sounds sooooo bad ass

my and my neighbor accross the street both have UA7s... he's fully catless with Greddy EVO 2, i've got the HFC and ATLP with the pre-cat deletes

""out of nowhere" the people living in between us decided to sell their house... i have a feeling their sick of our cars starting in the middle of the night, or the early morning...

dont wait til April man.... the colder the weather, the faster the car

well....like milkman said, your exhaust wont get louder however it will have a better tone to it. kinda hard to explain but ull find out soon enuff

also, like blackura said, intall it now and relearn ur ECU as u will see better gains now beacause of the artic air as oppsed to the spring/summer weather and warmer air temp

as far as the smell, by deleting the 3rd cat, you wont smell much of anything except for the new pipes breaking in.....my$.02

the precat deletes add the rasp.

the resonated test pipe cuts down on the rasp with the precat deletes, it is simply a resonator to cut down the drone, there is barely any restriction

stick with the combo you go so far, but look into getting a catback exhaust

The j-pipe and test pipe really don't make much of a sound difference. The precat deletes make a HUGE sound difference.

Hey bro, I didn't get to take any videos, but I just got done with XLR8's Jpipe and rv6's resonated cat delete on my Greddy Catback. You wont be disappointed trust me, it sounds better, and not raspy at all, it actually to me quiet down the exhaust level in the cabin from 1600-2500. So the drone is cut back a little and sounds better than before.

I am installing an RV6 J-pipe and test pipe tomorrow, what size OEM nuts will I have to take off? Are they all metric? I borrowed my neighbors metric air sockets and air gun. Also should I use some sort of sealer with the gaskets? Thanks for any ideas. Sorry for the slight Hi-Jack.

I ahve no idea about bolt size...my father did everything. But about the seal, there is no need. gaskets are enough, just tighten that shit up lol. cant enough my setup bc i found out i have a hole in my freakin aem air filter, so i drive like a grandma bc i dont want dirt and shit in the intake. getting filter installed tomorrow so i can test out these pipes.

I have the ATLP Quads with race pipe... stock Jpipe and precats.
People still hear me coming before I even show up.. and when I got stuck in the snow it gave people hell! hahah..

Anyway, I gots a question!
What are the gains from the pre-cat-deletes in terms of low-end?
What are the gains from the Jpipe in terms of low-end as well?

^ Those won't give you low-end gains. Actually, specifically with the pre-cats, you will lose low-end. The AEM, or any CAI, doesn't help either. I'm actually considering going back to the stock intake to get some low-end pop back. Some people go the UR pulley route since it gives you quicker response making it feel like you're regaining some lost low-end power.

OK no sealant. I did read somewhere on AZ that somebody did use some sort of liquid gasket? To make SURE he had no air leaks. I am a little worried from the install problems with no room to tighten down the nuts to 40#.

I am going to put my car on Rhino's Heavy Duty ramps to work under the car. I don't like jack stands, but I do have very HD Craftsman jack stands that will also be helping, I HATE working under cars.

Where is the best place to jack up the whole front end? Under the main frame under the engine? I am not driving my car on the ramps, I am jacking it up and then putting the ramps under the tires.

^ The supplied gaskets are plenty to get a good seal. Some people use some gasket maker also just as some extra piece of mind (or instead of the supplied gaskets) but it's not needed. You should be able to get the bolts torqued well enough. 40 ft-lbs is the factory torque spec, but as long as they are tight you will be fine. 40 ft-lbs isn't super tight anyway so I'd be surprised if you couldn't get that even with a couple of the nuts having minor clearance issues.

I don't see why you would jack the car just to put it on ramps. Up to you, but it's just extra work for the same result.

Thanks for the info.
Guess I'll either just get the J-Pipe and/or get the UR pulley with the pre-cats.

I installed my RV6 Jpipe along wit test pipe. and my current exhaust is a Greddy......my over all impression about the system is awesome. I no longer have any drone inside car. The car sounds NICE and DEEP when at a stop. Sound awesome when u pull out and at WOT, the monster Growls!!! But when driving normal on highway at high cruising speed the car def got quieter. It doesnt make noise for no reason, but when i want to be heard u will hear me....Sounds like a DEEP race car Sound. Do you Agree CJ0920??

Mos def! LOL, I just drove from VA to NJ and I'm here for the weekend. The drive was much bearable with less drone inside and my shit sounds good up top! Definately pulls harder now too, but then again I got the XLR8's jpipe. But RV6 resonated test pipe FTMFW!!
