RV6 J-pipe + Precat deletes back in stock!
#83
i'm almost sold on the j-pipe and 3rd cat delete...just wondering if there's a difference b/n the atlp and xlr8 products other than the price difference, which rv6 beats hands down...as always, thank you for your insights!

I am also wondering the same. I have seen pictures all 3 look great. To me it looks like the xlr8 and the atlp pipes flow better. It almost looks like on the rv6 pipe the 1 runner just dead-ends into the other. It doesnt look like it would flow as well as the other 2 in my opinion.

hey guys, after reading this thread, i'm highly considering the RV6 Precat/Jpipe/testpipe combo w/ my stock exhaust. What else do you recommend for exhaust?

Guys I need help. I have 12 tl sh awd, with xlr8 exhaust&jpipe&testpipe. What is the difference between HFPCS and PCDS? I mean The HFPCS cost more, and do you think if I get HFPCS will it fit my car? And what do you prefer Ceramic Coating or no coating?

So lets say I already have j-pipe installed with test pipe and full exhaust system. Should I get pre-cat deletes? or high flow cats? Which would be better? Im thinking Pre-cat deletes.

with v6 engines; modifying the exhaust will give you a nasty sound.
the pre-cat deletes are straight pipe and will give off a nasty sound at high RPMs. rasp as we call it; as it sounds raspy. and not like a v8 at all.
since you are replacing the catalytic converters (which are illegal and are intended for off road use ONLY) with pre-cat deletes you will get a smell. a smell like raw gasoline being used. it smells almost like a weed whacker.
depending on your state you will also have a hard time passing emissions with pre-cat deletes.
However they do come with defoulers to trick the 02 sensors in believing that all is right with the system so that you will not get a CEL.
the difference in horsepower between the hfc and pcd's is minimal
you will have to weigh the pros and cons between the two and choose on your own.

I have the jpipe, deletes, and test pipe combo for around $75 off retail.

I plan on continuing the jpipe and test pipe special. I usually raise the price when the product is stock. But with this recession I think everyone needs a break.
