RV6 high flow cat (or any HFC)... get one!

IMO, this is a must for anyone running RV6 precat deletes... a UR crank pulley is also recommended by me

The loss in low end torque isn't a great feeling but the top end gains are super fun on the highway <-- from the precat deletes

To remedy the low end performance, I threw in a UR underdrive crank pulley and a 300 cell high-flow cat from RV6.

Verdict: I love it. Couldn't be happier with my car, performance-wise (minus a supercharger). Some of you might recall my RASPY video in my "precat delete" thread. Although the HFC didn't get rid of all of it, its almost gone completely. My exhaust note also seems to be a little deeper too, which is always nice.

Other reasons to get one: exhaust fumes don't smell as bad and its better for the environment

Check out the prototype:

^ The highly skilled Richie TIG welding

Currently, these things are custom built to order from RV6. ATLP and XLR8 also have HFC's for sale.

Nice it looks good!!

I personally like the one from atlp, cause you can use the factory heat shield so it all looks stock.

Tabs are easy to weld on

Like I said, this is just a prototype. Richie wanted to weld tabs on for the heatshield but I couldn't wait.

Fo shizzle. Next time I get the chance, I'll hook up a sound clip although it'll sound just like my last one with much less rasp.

^ No precat deletes? Our setups will be identical if you go with the RV6 products (deletes, j, hfc) and the Comptech exhaust.

UR crank pulley is very nice too

When does the modding stop??

good stuff.. i just ordered myself an ATLP hi flow cat for a lot cheaper since I'm a returning customer from mike......

I primarily got this only because of my stupid "amplified exhaust" ticket; as I am making an effort to decrease the sound, an inspection station will sign the ticket off and I will have to pay no fee..... the sound the racepipe gave me will be missed, but not by my fellow neighbors here at school

^ Yes it will! I'm sure you'll love it. Then once you decide its too quiet, you'll move on to some precat deletes

^^ A price cut was nice of Mike. I believe ATLP sells a 200 cell HFC. Performance-wise, better. Sound deadening wise, probably worse.

^ True true. You'll be happier with them though

^^ Well, I wouldn't say he's a TIG welding guru BUT knowing that he'll go out and buy a TIG welder to fix the J pipe issue says a lot about him. Good guy And yeah, he fab'd that jig real fast.

^ They're decent. He's definitely improving. By the time the new flex pipes come in, he should have the technique down.
