RV-6 versus ATLP Test Pipe

What's the advantage of having the RV-6 test pipe over the ATLP race pipe? Seems like the RV-6 test pipe is a more popular pairing with the ATLP J-Pipe.

Both are straight tubes, so the cost of Richies race pipe makes it more popular. I know the ATLP quality is second to none and his pipe includes flanges to put the 3rd cat heat shield back on making it look just like the stock 3rd cat.

I really don't think there is a difference. It's just a straight pipe

The difference is in the construction and quality: what grade steel was used, flanges, welds, who welded it, etc. If the Inner Diameter is the same, though, they will both make the same power.

A race pipe is straight through. A test pipe is straight through that's resonated. Get either one I cant see any difference between them in sound and no way in power. I've never had RV6 products but my ATLP stuff seemed top notch.

Just so we're all on the same page. I bought the test pipe because it's resonated and it's significantly different than the ATLP race pipe, which is more like the RV6 race pipe.

I have Greddy's which is the loudest exhaust, after putting the test pipe on, it made the car alot quieter, eliminated cabin drone, and gave me a better deep tone exhaust which i love and always get compliments for
