Don't worry about that, you will still be too rich even with the new parts

Huh?

Lots of people are running lean. OP, you can tune A/F ratio with Hondata if your car is an '07-08. You won't really know where you stand until you do what you want to do and then check your A/F with a wideband.

Has anyone actually measured a change in AF before and after. Exhaust mods are increasing efficiency but there's very little change in actual intake volume from just exhaust and practically zero change at part throttle.

I'm not doubting that some people might be running lean but I'm wondering if the car is designed to run a little lean. Going from a bad memory I remember most dyno charts showing a pretty rich mixture in vtec.

The wideband 02 sensors should have no problem correcting for the tiny difference in airflow from exhaust.

I think with just full exhaust mods, most people are fine, but when doing the larger TB/porting or TB/SHAWD manifold, larger intakes is where they start to lean out a bit more. Not dangerously lean, but I think Sonnick pops CEL's that indicate a lean condition from time to time. Not sure if there are codes for individual cylinders or just banks. Could just be a coincidence; could be something else. I doubt anyone is going to damage their engine with bolt ons though. Leaner is meaner anyway.

That's interesting. I know if the correction is too great it will throw a code but I'm wondering if the BLM is actually running out of range.

I have full bolt ons with 3.7L mani, ZDX TB, and PnP runners and the car is running very rich. The car does do a pretty good job correcting these issues with bolt on but it still has its quirks. Im in the 12's for A/F but the Hondata I purchased should correct this issue.

Yea my CEL comes on intermittently, but my tail pipes are still black. There is soot on my bumper as well. Had the car washed for the track and the next day my bumper already had some buildup.
