Thumbs up XLR8 exhauset installed

Hey guys.. so I took a little road trip from NY to Boston to swap with (jared234) my stock oem exhaust from my 07 tls for his xlr8 resonated exhaust. Deff worth the trip!! The exhaust is much louder than i thought it would be but I love it!! The drone is pretty loud around 3 and 4 rpms but once your cruising at about 60 cant hear much at all. Sounds pretty sexyyy though! Will be posting up a video soon.

Thanx again Jared for a great deal

do you know if it is the version I or II exhaust

i had the VI first and it droned like a biatch yuck!!! luckily or unluckily the weld on a muffler was bad so they switched me for a whole new setup ... however i happened to buy my exhaust right when they were fasing out from the VI to VII and they gave me the new version and i tell you the difference is night and day!

The new version with the etched XLR8 tips has no drone with there new purge technology just love it and yes they are loud!!! either way VI or VII great upgrade im sure you will enjoy!

good score

Ditto that i had the same thing happen to me, where i ended up getting the V2 with the purge technology, and your right its nice and loud, it sounds like a Ferrari to me, and there is no drone!! Im loving it... I plan on getting vids up once the weather is a little nice.

I have the drone version for sure then.... Dang not only that, I added the RV6-v-2's pre-cats bout 9 months ago.

I like the gains, but I got that ringing in the ear problem like a mother Fu$ker

It's freakin bittersweet

What did the ATLP V2 J-Pipe and ATLP V2 Quad Exhaust Catback cost in total (without labor)?

Do you notice the difference when compared to your stock set-up?

Kir, congrats on your exhaust and welcome to Acurazine. I have merged your two threads together because they are both about the same subject. No need for two threads of the same thing.

ATLP was $1050, J-pipe was about $450

Not sure about from a standstill, but when on the move and i hit the gas, definitely feel the power, it's pretty incredible.

Check out my thread on J-Pipes and how much each brad produces per their reps say. Post any questions you have and it'll get answered.

Don't do rain guards. The back one especially looks goofy on the TL. Are you getting H&R Sports or Race? Probably should go Sports if you're in the city! Here's what your car will look like on Sports:

Good choice, better stance than any of the others. You don't need coilovers; just get some Konis when your stock shocks blow out down the road.

Mine's around the same drop as the Type-S in that thread. Just remember the more aggressive you go with the drop, the worse the handling will be with the stock shocks, and they'll blow out quicker.

I paid $719 for Konis and H&R Sports at shox.com (great price, package deal)

Not cheap, but Konis have fully adjustable dampening, which you don't get on the lower end ($800) coilovers like Tein Basics.
