Resonated or Non-Resonated?

This spring I will be purchasing an Excelerate Performance exhaust.

My question is, should I get the Non-Resonated or the Resonated Catback? I own an '08 TL-S and have absolutely no modifications besides my muffler delete that will obviously be replaced so no need to take that or any possible modifications into consideration.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you, I am aware of the post right below me but he is asking about an ATLP exhaust and that even only has one reply.

it has nothing to do that it's an XLR8 VS ATLP based thread. resonated and non-resonated are the same thing.

if you want slightly louder with a possibility of rasp, get the non-resonated. if you want more subdued, get the resonated. easy as that.

I had this debate for a while and went resonated excelerate. So happy with my decision it sounds great and powerful. To be honest I don't know how people drive with the non res it must be so loud! Resonated is not quiet by any means at certain rpms

You are only making yourself look incompetant

Go to google.com
Input following into search

Really? You think I'm to incompetent to use a simple search bar? No shit I fucking searched before posting the thread. Nothing I found was useful to me and that is why I posted the thread, yes there was one posted right before mine but was absolutely no help to me.

By the way, Tmax, learn how to spell you incompetent prick.

You clearly are incompetent considering you don't understand what a resonator does.
If you can't extrapolate the information from the first thread; your clearly incapable of forming an informed conclusion.\

Not to mention that GoldenShoes broke it down for you to just dismiss it altogether.

Instead you would rather have information spoon-fed to you like a lil kid needing to be told what to do.

I am quite certain that I have a firmer grasp on the English language than you do by merit of an education.
It's a shame that most new members within your age bracket exhibit similar characteristics.

Why pick at a small typo other than to hide behind it.
Clearly you are out of your depth in this dialogue...

Take some time to read first before making redundant threads.
If your around here long enough you might just learn something but I doubt it though.
I look forward to seeing which version....or if any version of the exhaust you actually end up getting...

By the way nice car and the pics look great too...keep up the good work & progress

When I said it didn't help me out one bit I was talking about the other thread, not his post...

Sorry I am do not have the same knowledge about cars as you do, but before I posted the thread I searched the forum for about two to three hours and it does suck but I couldn't find anything, whether it be bad searching or just bad threads. I'm not trying to be an asshole but when you reply with post that come off aggressive i'm not going to be a passive bitch about it.

After all that said, i'll probably be purchasing the non-resonated exhaust and if you would like I will try to post a video. Thank you for the comments about my car, I just got my bumpers and other little dents from the previous owners finished up and it looks fucking lovely.

I would go with no res first there shouldn't be any rasp but until you mess with Precats/jpipe add a resonator later on...
