Replacement rotors for 6MT (Brembo maybe?)
Hi all,
I might need to replace the rotors on my car as I'm replacing the pads to Hawk. Are there some relatively inexpensive drilled/slotted rotors out there for our 6MTs? I looked everywhere for Brembo rotors, but it seems they are only made for the A/T. The AT versions are pretty cheap -- like $149 for both.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
Robert

One on the right for me
do you need to replace the rotors or do you just want to start with a fresh pair?
i found a site a little while ago that had both regular rotors for the TL and then drilled ones (for the 6spd as well) I'll have to do a bit of searching for it but if I find the link ill post it and you can check with them.

Yeah, I want to start with a fresh pair since I'm changing the pads... the dealership tells me they are shot, but I find it hard to believe after 25,000 miles. Thanks, please link me if you find it, would be awesome!

The site has changed a little bit since the last time I looked at the parts (Nov. of 05). I was interested in the drilled rotors from disc italia and they are 25 bucks more than what they were three months ago. You are probably going to have to email them to see what they have avaliable by way of OEM products for the 6spd.

Yeah, I found that site, but unfortunately they don't have the Brembos and judging from eBay listings, it looks like Brembo should be relatively cheap... Oh well
Thanks for the research though!!

I am confused, the 6MT's all come with Brembo's and I think the 5AT's with A-Spec have Brembo's, at least it is an upgrade for the 5AT.
Are you saying that the 6MT Brembo brake package is actually Brembo calipers and another manufacturers rotors?

The calipers are definitely Brembo, but I'm not sure about the rotors. I'm specifically looking for Brembos such as these:
I can only find them for the 5AT, but not for the 6MT which is really strange in my opinion...

AT comes with "upgraded break pads" (not calipers)...so from the outside you can't tell the difference...but this only when you buy the aspec package (my understanding)

The ASpec on the AT has the Black calipers like the Brembos? I don't believe so...
Really? The holes are bad? ARGH. So which rotors should I buy??

ok there is a lot of misinformation in this thread...........
to the post starter.........you want to get new rotors.......my suggestions is to just get blanks, the reason for that is that the slotted/drilled rotors you are looking for are intended more for relieving brake fade, which you wont experience unless you track the car, real hard.
A set of black rotors are going to be more than fine for you. Also drilled/slotted rotors are not BAD, just made for diff reasons, if they are blanks that some company decided to drill themselves they have a temdency to crack because they were not made like that initially and are weakened by the drilling.
Brilled/slotted rotors are also harder to resurface, and some places wont do it at all.
Also its not hard finding a brembo blake for you car, dont look under car brand/yr try searching by rotor size, like 13.2" or 13" rotors with a lug pattern for 5/114 etx.........
If you call brembo directly, they can get you a model/product number and you can locate the, like that.
for the record it has been know that the autozone blanks are a nice cheap alternative, they are cheap and work just as well........and I autocrossed and tracked my integra before so all this info is from research and experience.

DeadLock,
Thank you very much for that info! Helps a lot. I was getting drilled/slotted more for the look than performance. I find the brakes on the TL awesome to begin with. So I'll go for regular blanks instead then. That's IF my rotors are shot, which I doubt very much. For now, I'll just switch the pads for the Hawks I've ordered and we'll see from there...
Thanks very much again.

Just my thought....there is no specific need to change the rotors or turn the rotors when you put new pads on...
And if you are looking at anything not drilled or slotted you might as well stick with stock rotors.
You said you wanted to stay relatively inexpensive, but really the Racingbrakes are the only rotors you are going to get that are going to significantly improve anything.
