I would like to hear it since every major brand and off brand sounds horrible. Like rice patty raspy noisey... then they remove the resonator and make it louder. Absolutely amazing.. So post up.. let's hear it..

The guy who did it for me said it was a waste of money to add on a magnaflow/brand of your choice resonator since i already had the stock one there and that he would just be taking my money, so I took his advice and just did straight pipe from where the muffler and resonator was cut.

Very happy with the way the car sounds, I'm glad i went further and removed the resonator on top of the mid muffler. no ricey revs and sounds great cabin is perfect!

Seems like a good method. Got a clip?

I had the mid muffler and resonator removed and only had the 2 rear mufflers. way better sound, nothing loud and raspy. and it cheap to get done. recommended if you want something better sounding and still quite while driving on the freeway

I just bought a Type-S bumper and the catback from a car that was being parted out.. He said the person he bought it from removed the resonator and the mid-muffler. I didnt think anything about it other than someone was jacking it up, but when the guy started up the car to pull it into the garage where he removed the catback, the car sounded like the most horrible thing I ever heard. It was so loud, I heard it from sitting inside the shop in the waiting room! It was loud, and raspy and it sounded like it was just straight pipes. Plus being a 6 cylinder didnt help matters. It was Horrible! Do at your own risk! haha.. I would have a backup plan if I was going to remove the mid-muffler.. but I would not remove the resonator.

It should be noted that this car was wrecked on the front, and the original owner was about to sell it to the insurance company, until the guy I bought the pipes and bumper from purchased it instead.. He owns a shop in Denton, TX. And the car ran but it did not run great. He kept reving the motor.. like "perhaps" to keep it running.. I don't know why he had to jossle the idle up and down, maybe to keep it running, but it sounded extremely loud and obnoxious. But even if it is misfiring and not running correctly, it don't think it would make the car loud and obnoxious.... But I think that car would not pass inspection just based on the exhaust alone.

Something else that bothers me, the 2 rear mufflers even on my car, has an odor! I hope it goes away before June of 2017. I dont want to fail emissions because of some "burned crud" in the mufflers.. So obviously the car was not running properly.

I have a muffler delete and dynomax resonator or so called stage 3 done on mine. I kind of want to go back to stock or at least put the mid-muffler back in. Does anybody know how it would sound with stock mid-muffler back in with dynomax resonator left in?

I bought my car this way and do not like it. The "raspy" sound starts at about 2200 rpm. I could record a clip if anyone is still interested. Mine is a 3.5L

I got another resonator put in where the mid-muffler was, now it sounds pretty close to stock, just a tad louder, it's perfect for my taste since I like to hear CAI sound more anyway.
