Removing Resonator
Just bought a new AEM sri and saw the thread about removing the resonator and "unknown tube" to increase air flow, my biggest issue is that it rains alot where I and if i remove the resonator, will water just shoot up the tube and all over my engine making this completely pointless if not harmful.

Do you know what the resonator is for? The resonator in your intake is technically known as a Helmholz resonator, an acoustic device used to control pressure wave harmonics. Air bouncing back out of our engine and into the intake tube doesn't do it in a single pulse the way it would in a single intake runner; the multiple pistons put out pressure waves at their own intervals, and some of those are going to try to bounce back in while others are going out. The result is a "clog" or high pressure area in your intake tube that ultimately limits airflow through almost the entire rpm spectrum.

Anyway, you will be safe from the bad water that wants to get you but not from the hot air your engine is going to be sucking in.
My
, either do the resontor delete and leave everything else stock or get an acutal CAI (like I posted in the last thread you ask this question in).
