Removed intake resonator!

I took my bumper off and removed it today. It was easy enough to do. It did require brute force, I had to kick it to make it come off. I just have a few questions before I close everything back up.

So this is everything that came off.

And now this tube thing remains....do I just leave it hanging?

Thanks!

PS-Anyone know why so much muddy residue in the car? Its all over the engine as well. Have not driven the car in rain for so long!

the muddy residue is just that, muddy residue. you most likely ran through some mud.

you can leave that piece or you can take it out. its not doing much just hanging there.

I removed mine. If you think the other parts were hard to remove, wait until you remove that one. I took my resonator apart and reused the tube that goes from the intake filter box to the resonator so I have an "ice box" of sorts.

Mud doesn't just go away on it's own.

remove it...the whole tube that goes all the way up the engine bay. it will look much cleaner without it.
