Recommendations on where to get a FlashPro etune for Comptech kit

Hey folks,

It's been a while since Comptech released their kit for the 2008 TL Type-S, but I finally pulled the trigger and got one. I know it's small, and Rotrex seems a lot more cost effective, but I've always wanted this kit since it came out. My setup will be a bone stock 2008 TL Type-S and the Comptech supercharger is equipped with the high boost pulley(I don't plan on pushing this setup because it's stock, but would love to see 290 - 300 hit the wheels.)

But now that I have it, it's the year 2020, and so many things have changed, like Vittuned hanging up his hat to start a career at Motec. I bring him up in particular because I was going to see if he had a tune that will safely take the car from my garage to a local tuner. The kit I purchased did not come with the Comptech ECM and harness, but fortunately I got FlashPro.

I've heard turbo guys say "just keep it out of boost on your way to the shop" or "make it run rich, it's better than driving it lean at least", but I'm not sure if that's possible with a supercharger. I'd don't know a lot about them, but would assume that because it's belt driven, boost is always on. This is a concern for me as the installation guide calls for increasing the fuel pressure in the gas tank, but with out the Comptech ECM or a FlashPro tune, I don't know what the stock ecu is going to do with all that fuel.

In any case, I was wondering if anyone have recommendations on where to get an etune now a days or if they wouldn't mind being compensated to share a copy of their tune to help me out with this situation.

Thanks everyone. Hope everyone's doing alright in these crazy times.

Just curious.
Did you pick that one on the Jseries & Jswap Engine Community facecreep page for $3.5K that had flashpro included?

Call the local speed shops there in S.F.
There has to be a local tuner that is familiar with that system.
Install the kit and tow it over.

why not bypass the S/C with a shorter belt (factory size) and throw the right size belt it on when you get to the dyno shop?

Did you upgrade injectors or anything else? Best to do all your upgrades before the tune and also to invest in new O2 sensors to get accurate readings if they are old.

i dont know enough to compare s/c bypass vs dumping the boost but i would assume the latter chokes the car less. I bought 410cc injectors today to get it going for now and then upgrade later when the dust settles, and that's a good idea with the 02 sensor suggestion. ty kindly

reach out to dom. i was actually tuned by both vit and dom when the flashpro came out for the TL (i was one of the first 3 TL cars with it) and in my mind dom tuned the TL much better than vit. dom has done probably close to 100 TL cars now on etunes. pm me if you need his email. he's legit and cheap

Hi @sockr1 , thanks for the tip! I'm actually working with Dom right now and it looks like he'll be able to provide me a full tune! Really excited about this because he's well regarded in the community.
