Rear Wing / trunk lid question
I just got my 06 TL Navi and I had the dealer install a wing.
Now the trunk lid won't stay up.
If I have read the posts here correctly, I need to have the dealer also install a different spring to keep the lid balanced.
Or was that another line item in the negotiation(s)?

if you bought the wing through the dealer and installed it with the dealer they SHOULD have installed the balanced trunk springs....take it back and complain

The wing spoiler comes with 2 springs, but sometimes they are lazy and don't replace them. If your trunk doesn't raise properly, make them do the installation.

I must comment that when my TL didn't have a wing the trunk would just unlock and not open all the way up. I bought a wing w/out the springs and when I try to open it still get the same results...is the ACURA wing heavier than the one I bought from a supplier that claims they install them to canadian models every day?
Once up there is no indication that it wants to come down shut on you which makes me thing that the springs are not needed at least for me.
