Quick question about 3rd cat delete..
Ok so Tuesday I had my resonator and mid muffler cut out and replaced with a straight pipe.. I like the sound at start up and about 3000+ rpm but like everyone says, at around 2500 rpm it sounds like rice being real raspy and hollow. I'm thinking of having the 3rd cat cut out tomorrow after class and replaced with straight pipe. Anyway, do you guys think this will make it more rice or make it a little more deeper/louder, whatever. Open to any type of comment... just need a little guidance!
I'm whipping an 05 base.
I've also been searching for local dealers who deal Magnaflow resonators, thinking about picking one up and having this installed as well as the 3rd cat delete. Yes or no? Everyone says it'll give it a lot more growl..
Oh yeah, does it matter the resonator size? I see online where Magnaflow resonators come in either 4" or 5" or 6" and so forth. The stock resonator looks as if it is about 5" or 6" thick, what size should be added in the Magnaflow?
Well I just had the 3rd cat cut out and it doesn't sound too bad. I'm gonna get my girlfriend to take off in it so I can hear it outside of the car but if anything I may put the stock resonator back in or have the local muffler shop surprise me with one. It doesn't have the raspy 2500 rpm drone like before..

thanks a lot man! Maybe I'll post up a sound clip today after it's all said and done.
