Quick question
Anyone know of a cheap (when I say cheap... I mean CHEAP) 3rd cat delete option? Test pipe preferably. Hollowing the cat is another option.
Or does anyone know if I can buy just the front and rear cat flanges for an 05 TL? All local shops refuse to remove the cat and replace it with pip, but if I just take the cat off the car myself and take it to them, they'll have no problem doing it.

anyone else think they can help me out here? if i can buy the flanges, i can pay 15 and have it made into a test pipe at a local exhaust shop...
dont know about you guys, but id rather pay $50 for the same thing that i can pay $250 for <<<just because it has a name on it.
Oh believe me... i've been wishing for a RV-6 long tube test pipe since i bought my car... coming from an 88 civic, then a 91 integra, and being 21 years old... i cant really see myself paying that kind of money for an exhaust system let alone a Jpipe... lol im not looking for power/torque gains. just wanna alter the sound.
That is very tempting....... i'll have to think about that.

wow dude... wasn't looking for a smart-assed dick-headed response.... it was just a simple quick question, and i was expecting a helpful answer. Forums are a way to help people, but they are also here to showboat how much of a tool you are. i see you have clearly chose option 2 on this day...

huh? i wasn't trying to be rude, just asking you a question.and paying $50 will not get you anything. a test pipe won't increase your performance. a $350 jpipe will (which deletes your third cat entirely, thus no need for a test pipe). if you do get a shop to custom fab you something, you'll end up with nasty rasp bc of the stage mods you've done.
if you're looking to change your sound, you've pretty much hit your mark with the stage mods.

ps. Nice car for a 21 year old
Justin is a nice guy. He helped alot of people out on this forum including me. I think you just took it the wrong way dude. What he said was right, if your all stock and getting a test pipe will only gain you a minimal gain that i bet you will barely notice. Since ur looking for a quick upgrade and cheap i guess you could do it that way and save until you have enough for the jpipe. You can also buy older version jpipe that doesnt delete the 3d b/c those are pretty cheap as well, around 100-150 used, just look around the black market and sooner or later you will find one.

my mother just bought a 2011 buick lacrosse and the thing is no joke. 6spd auto/stick... crazy torque.... he decided to line up for a 35 roll one day.. i even gave him the delay of the automatic downshift when floor-boarded... still walked on him.
I am very knowledegable in older honda/acura shit... anything OBDII im worthless... too many sensors and monitoring
Whoa... This thread got way off-topic way fast! Hahah
Just to push it a little more... Anyone know of an iPhone app that the forum is compatible with? Tapatalk doesn't support acurazine...
