Questions about cold air intake

Hi I know this information is probably somewhere on this site already but I couldn't find it.

Can anyone tell me if there really is a noticeable different w/ CAI? What is that a different in like HP/speed wise if any?

Will that void my car's warranty? I have a certified pre-owned '04 TL so I have another few months of the extended warranty and then 5-6 years of the powertrain warranty. Would CAI breaking something void both?

How long does it take to install and is it easy (for someone who knows not much about cars/engines)? Would I be able to take it out and re-install the original equipment easily if I had to take it to the dealer for service? How long would that take?

Finally, which is the best CAI for '04 AT TL?

*Oh also does the air still come in through from where my air filter is now or does it only come in through the cold air intake? Or both?

Oh and if anyone replies to this is there a diagram or picture somewhere of how to install a CAI in the TL?

And where is the best (cheapest?) place to buy from for the best CAIs?

I searched, I could find some of these answers but not others. I couldn't find a diagram/picture of CAI installation procedure, what the cheapest dealer/website listed is, whether the air still comes in from where the original stock air filter goes, and about the procedure itself it's difficulty and replacing w/ stock if you have to take it in for service how that is. Also I don't know if CAI would void the extended powertrain warranty or just the regular warranty. I really know very little about cars/modifications any help would be appreciated.

And the 60 second required delay between posts doesn't help in my searching either

Everything you need to know is on here in one place or another. Check the 3G garage as well.

Here are two vids for installation tips.

Look here for the video's and TONS of other useful/DIY information. Reading the threads in the Garage will save you a lot of unnecessary grief.

As far as your other questions, depending on what intake you go with will decide the powerband, from what i have read the AEM show increase in power all around while the Fujita shows about 3000 rpm, but the AEM is 60-100 dollars more then the fujita depending on where you get it (i went with fujita and love it and I DO NOTICE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN POWER). It is somewhat of a pain in the arse to install, but very do-able especially if you goto the 3G garage, but you are not going to want to have to put the OEM one back in if you have a problem. The filter for the intake is in the lower left part of the bumper, in front of the left wheel well. Now the original intake tubing runs through this part of the bumper, but on the OEM intake system, the filter is right next to the throttle body. As far as warranty, you will only void your warranty if the CAI is the source of the problem. I.E. you blow your tranny - shouldnt void, but if your suck water through the filter and hydrolock the motor - will void. Hope this helps
