Question for Supercharged TLs + RV6 V3 J-Pipe..

I bought this v3 j-pipe from a member and wasn't informed about this hole he made into the jpipe until I got there to see it.

He said he had it welded so he could use something from his supercharger with it. I'm assuming it was a sensor to keep track of exhaust gas temperatures.

Anyway, my car is N/A and I plan on installing this J-Pipe, but I don't know what I can do to plug this hole up.

Is there something I can simply buy from a local hardware store to use to plug this hole up airtight?

If there is, how do I know what size to look for?

Yes, they make plugs. Probably not at your local hardware store although you could try.

Thanks man, but another question. Is the size that is used for the supercharger hole (lol someone should tell me the correct term/name for this bung hole) the same or does it vary?

Pretty much I'm asking if I purchase what you posted in the link, is it a 100% sure fit or are there also various sizes that people also use for the sensor hole

I'm sure any local exhaust shop will have a bolt to fit it, to my knowledge (which isn't much) all the bong holes are the same size.

You need a M18x1.5 plug, if you can't find one locally shoot me a PM. I'll send you one for free, just pay shipping.

The hole in the jpipe was made for a wideband guage o2 sensor.

I've always heard them called a bung hole (for the great corn-holio).

It could also have been used for an EGT probe.

Pretty sure they're all the same thread size/pitch.

Definately looks like an 02 bung. I have had a few of these installed when I ran a wideband.

What richie has is what I used to plug it when needed.

exhaust gas temperature guage bungs are usually located as close to the head as possible and for each runner for best results. Since our cars have the manifold built into the head its a little more difficult to get the egt's for each cylinder.

Plus the egt sensors are usually a smaller thread.

As long as that bung allows for a O2 sensor to be installed without being in the way or leaking I would consider that a plus.

Dude that's shady and annoying that the seller wouldn't tell you. I'd be pissed.

Good luck plugging your bung hole!

It's an O2 bung for a wideband oxygen sensor. Go grab a 18X1.5 bolt at Home Depot and thread it in the hole.
