Question about DIY CAI Air Filter end.

Does anyone know the diameter of which air filter I should get when modding the stock intake? 3" or 2.5"

Are you talking about the removal of the stock intake piping from the resonator box down?

If so there's no need for a cone filter, since you retain the stock filter box and the stock filter inside.

If you're talking about an aftermarket intake, they all come with a filter...

Instead of spending money on a filter and slapping it on your stock intake components, you should invest in a full aftermarket system. You will see better gains, have better fitment, and you won't have to modify your existing oem equipment. For the 3G TL we always recommend our XLR8 AEM V2. You'll pick up about 8 to 10 horsepower and it is a direct fitment.

Is there any dyno run of the XLR8 AEM v2? The 8-10 hp gains are substantial considering our air box isn't the most restrictive I've seen on Hondas.

I don't have a dyno sheet handy as AEM did the dyno testing on it.

I posted a link to the one I got in this thread OP, it was a very tight fit, I'd check AEMs website, but I think it's a 3" fitting.

Its actually a 2.75, 2.5 is too small and 3 is slightly too big, check ebay for a 2.75 fitment.
