Are you looking for your car to be loud with cabin drone or just a nice, deep mellow tone with minimal drone?

i dun really care..but I heard Greddy Evo II is really loud
but as long as it doesn't bother the quietness of inside cabin I dun mind
but I prefer one with more horsepower

Well, Greddy will be pretty loud inside the cabin. Comptech is good for 7-8 hp and Greddy maybe 10-11. There are others exhausts available as well, such as ATLP and Excelerate. If you don't want it overly loud, skip the Greddy and go with a resonated system such as Comptech or Excelerate. There are other ways to make up the couple hp defecit.

That being said you can get the Greddy and have the shop put in a resonator and still save $ over the comptech.........

I drive an 06 TL AT here in So Cal, and was part of the recent Greddy Evo3 group buy. Initially I regretted the upgrade because of the noise & an objectionable drone / cabin resonance at certain low rpm ranges. However, I'm now quite happy with the mod...carbon buildup in the exhaust has done a lot to muffle the sound & make it tolerable; perhaps I've also just grown accustomed to it too. I will say that the Greddy exhaust in tandem with my AEM CAI makes for some very sweet sounds under hard exceleration. Plus, I'm addicted to the noticable extra power from this exhaust. IMO, the Greddy exhaust looks really, really sharp!

If I were you I'd way the options...
1. greddy evo2
2. comptech
3. atlp
4. excelerate
5. custom shop up

more info
1. some have said gets a little loud, I have it, about to remove since I sold it, I was very happy with it, till I got tired of the 4.7" tips...

2. rather on the quiete side... barely can hear it, the muffler & tips are damn shiny (polished)... rolled tips

3. the first catback made for the tl type s, sounds pretty good to me, never driven a car with it tho, fit and finish is perfect

4. excelerate provides 2 options, 2 tips or 4... and then the choice of resonated or non resonated, I'd say it is almost identical to the comptech, except the unresonated version really isn't loud at all... so no point really in getting the resonated version... install is a pain in the ass tho... hehehe, gets a little bit tricky when it comes to getting the tips at the same level

5. I went this route my first time around, I was pretty happy since I could make the car sound how I wanted, got rid of it and went with the greddy only because of the mandrel tubing

EVO 3 was a 'one off' the factory did for me...it's got a 12" dia. main pipe...good for 90 more whp.

NOT!! lol

My typo, meant to say Evo2.

Happy & Safe 4th!

BTW, if maximum hp is your aim, can't imagine how you could do better than Greddy...they offer 2.25 to 2.5" dia main pipe upsize, no resonator, no mid-muffler, and two low restriction, flow thru mufflers, all crafted from SS...even GREDDY imprint on the outside surfaces of the exhaust tips. Plus, again, the sound is incredible!
