WHO ELSE would install one of these so Acura doesn't know???
I'm not going to a dealership. I don't know where you're from so I can't make any real suggestions of places to go, but I am having it done at hondaworks here in charlotte. They deal only with honda and acura cars. Just find a good import shop with a good reputation. Pulley swap has to be among one of the most common mods ever.

^^^ OK. There is a shop near me that does alot of Civic's. He was going to install Tein SS for $1450 out the door. But I decided to install myself. I guess that would be a good place for the UR Crank pulley install. I will give him a call.

I got Koni Yellow's for $620 from MrHeelToe's site and just installed myself. Suspension jobs are a great place to cut your teeth. People get really worked up about shocks and struts but they are one of the easier parts on the car to attack. With the DIY's in the Garage, you got nothing to worry about. Shops feed on this fear and over charge. Just be careful with hose adjustable coil-overs...never messed with those.

*update*

Well, I got the pulley installed and I must say that I am pretty impressed.

The shop I went to did a good job. They used two different types of air gun and a 5 ft. breaker bar to get the bolt loose. The whole job took about 40 min. They even took the car for a test drive to make sure it felt good for me. So just for reference sake, anyone in the charlotte NC looking for a place to get this done, it is called Hondaworks on South and Scalybark. It cost me 97.50, but I say it was worth it since they knew what they were doing and I was out in less than an hour.

On to what I think of the pulley.
Looks good down there. I have a 6mt and I must say that for daily driver it makes the shifts alot smoother. Almost completely eliminated the shift shock when letting the clutch out. I even tried to shift poorly and the shift shock isn't really there anymore. The engine doesn't lug as bad when going up hills. I can now go up a hill in 6th at 50mph and the engine doesn't fight it. And yes, it is a touch quicker. Maybe a little more than a touch. Can do a little more than chirp the tires when going into 2nd gear now.

I ordered my pulley on Saturday. Hopefully I ordered It right and it will ship soon. I didn’t see any ware in the DIY thread that talks about the belt tensioner. Ware is it and do you have to take it off of just push on it? I’m pretty good with car mods but I don’t have the best knowledge about belts. What do you guys think?

You don't even need to take off the tensioner. Just get the correct size wrench and put that on the hex part of the tensioner's pulley end and push towards the back of the engine bay. That should loosen the belt enough to slide it off. Look up the supercharger instructions and it pretty well illustrates what I'm talking about.

The tensioner pulley is about the diameter of a coke can and towards the front of the engine. It has a sticker just above it saying something about "Automatic Timing Belt Adjustment", something along those lines. Put a socket and wrench on the nut and push it towards the back of the engine bay. It's spring loaded, sways about 6-8 " total, and when you have enough slack, remove from crank pulley. Get the belt diagram or remember how it threads back on...I didn't, and it almost got ugly.

Yes. It is the stock size. And I'll be honest, I just went to lunch and the car felt quicker than yesterday.
