Progress Sway Bar Installed

I got my bar in yesterday and threw it on this afternoon.

It was very easy to install, the only issue was the threads on the end link had some rust on it so I had to use a allen wrench in combo with a 14mm wrench (both sides) to remove and install the nuts.

Even with that, it only took 30 minutes to install.

The handling difference is very noticeable and most noticeable was the torque steer wander was reduced.

Congrats and good to hear you like it, but...

Torque steer reduced, it's the rear bar correct???
And how's the Progress bar better besides being a bit fatter (WOW I rhyme haha)???

^/^^Just wondering that's all :-]

^it definitely 'feels' stiffer than the CT bar...even less body roll. I say it is as big an improvement over the CT bar as the CT bar was over the stock bar..that is if you really care alot about handling...

thanks and yeah I do
does this bar cause the rear end step out when you overcook a corner?
I found that with the CT bar the rear end swings out/oversteers a lot in that situation

I'd imagine it would be even more prone to do that since its a thicker bar?

I don't know, but to me it seems to track straighter.

I've got a 6MT and the size of the bar compared to stock is very noticeable.

Floor jacks or lift?

I just got my Progress Sway Bar in today. Can I install by using floor jacks or will a lift be more suitable? I'm not sure of how much room I need uninstall the OEM sway bar and install this one.

I'm almost convinced in this bar's good haha

The bar is solid, NOT hollow on the inside, correct?

The only hollow bars Progress makes are the 05+ Mustang front and the RX-8 front bars. Everything else is solid.

I wrestled mint in last night. It seemed harder this time (replaced the comptech RSB), perhaps the comptech exhaust is a bit more difficult to work around. It was a chinese F$ck puzzle getting it back in... Scratched the shit out of it, but it won't hurt anything, and it's gonna get beat up on the road. I figure everyone beats/scratches it up trying to get it installed over the exhaust.

In retrospect, I wish I had seperated the comptech exhaust...

Much stiffer... I might actually try the softer setting, in a hard turn you can feel the rear wanting to come out. Certainly a good investment...

Installed mine early this morning on the soft setting. Took about 45 mins from start to finish being careful to correctly torque everything to specs. I have yet to take it on the road for a test drive. But I did test out my motorcycle instead!

are you guys all using regular floor jacks? i'm trying to figure out how i can do this install with the least amount of equipment available... being that i'm probably doing the install inside my university garage since i have no hook up to any shops in the area, and i'm not gonna drop 100+ for such an easy install.

so please, if you guys could just also post how you're installing, it'd be a great help to me.

Yep, all you need is a floor jack and a couple stands and some wrenches.

Instructions come with it, but once you look at how it's bolted up now, you'll see how easy it is.

As Kennedy said, finding the combo to snake it back in is the hardest part.

sweet, looking foward to getting this done.

now as advice from people who've recently added this....what was the biggest reason for getting this change?

for example, if i am understanding things correctly, in a hypothetical scenario (of course ;P) - if i am coming out of a 90 degree arc, aka 1/4 of a circle ~ usually something like an onramp/offramp, - and i notice that my car shifts weight pretty sloppily hence i'd go in heavy on the left, but as i go thru the arc, the force is pushing outwards (Centrifugal force), and because of this force, i can feel that the car is potentially in a situation to lose it's arc-ing position, is this what i would add? so that i don't feel like the weight shift from inside to out is going to spin my car out? (i understand what i just described could also be understood as a drift of some sorts, but i'm just trying to figure out what exactly this will change in it's most basic scenario)....

i love the way the car drives, but my initial desire to get this mod is simply because i feel like the car is too "soft" at the moment, even with the A-spec suspension which apparently gave my salesperson an aching back....

so i mean my all means please provide examples and just basic info, i've read almost all the post regarding the RSB, and i mean yes, i understand the mechanics of it, but then i read about the real life stories of RSB conversions, and then it doesn't seem to have anything to do with what it was designed for - like what they are happy about has nothing to do with the RSB.

please, i'd like more info about this ^^

thanks in advance
