Progress RSB installed

I went up today to see Josh from excelerate to get the progress rsb and the pulley isntalled. Everything went smooth and i really love the mods. The difference in handling its unbeliveable actually and i have it put in the stiffer setting. The only problem i see wich nobody mentioned really is that it does make the ride much stiffer especially when you go over uneven road and when you drive on a not so perfect street lets say... it doesnt have to be anything extreme but u do feel it more for some reason... its kind of bumpy in the back... should i change it to street setting would that be better... and it might be also cause i have a heavy trunk with subs amps and so on wich makes the rear sag a little and that for doesnt allow to much suspension travel wich then also the sway bar stiffens up too... and u get my point i guess

do u guys feel the same difference or ...street track setting... what should i go for

Why dont you change the setting and find out for your self. It would only take but 20 min to do so. I've had my bar installed for afew weeks now. I didnt notice much difference...

i didnt notice an increase in bumpiness

the only real thing i noticed is my rear tracks with the front alot better. the rear does do a bit of a wheel hop sometimes on really high speed bumps, but that's about it. it might just be in your head dude, tbh, cuz that happens alot right after a mod is done.

get the a-spec suspension THEN you will feel TRUE BACK MASSAGE BUMPINESS lol

The whole purpose of the thicker stiffer rsb is to 'lock' the rear suspensions together so that they act as a single suspension going up and down in unison. This way either side wont dip independently leading to body roll. This will of course lead to a rougher ride in the rear when going over bumps and stuff.

This is the nature of all suspension mods. stiffer = better control & handling, but harsher ride.

The 'street' mode on the progress bar, is simply 2 holes on the swaybar that are farther apart, allowing more flex between the left and right side.

Yes, it is stiffer and bumpier on rough roads now on the stiff setting but the handling more than makes up for it. I can feel more road irregularities now even on smooth roads. Your subs in the back should actually make the ride softer because the back end can dip down more easily with the heavier load on the rear springs. The same feeling you get when you're in a truck with a full load in the back. It shouldn't bounce around as much.

I got the Progress RSB set on the stiffer setting. I was advised that the difference is not that noticable on the 'less stiff setting" so I went with the stiff. The ride is minimally more bumpy, but the tradeoff for having a stiffer rear is worth it to me.

I drove the car again today and its not that bad at all as i first thought, maybe i was just focused on it to much and yea the handling is amazing. For some reason my steering feels heavier and more precise, is that to be expected... its defenitly a good thing

shouldnt feel heavier

maybe you mean you felt more planted to the ground on curves, if anything you should feel less resistance in your steering i'd hope, but all of this is more mind than actual matter, since the physics and mechanics of the bar is quite simple. What's really complex is how our mind is comprehending a simple change

(edit - Oh, I got it know. You mean the holes toward the back end of the car. )

What HONgDA posted - the Inside holes. The ones that make the Bar the Shortest, make it the stiffest.
