i see no reason why you wouldn't see gains. while the type-s cats do flow more than the non-type s, the procats still flow more. combined with the larger motor and better heads, i think you will still see gains. worth it? that depends on who you are asking. someone needs to do before/after dynos.

I have sold these to two members with TL-S. One hasn't installed yet and the other hasn't reported back on gains. You would really have to do a pre and post dyno to figure exact hp figures. I would expect at least 15whp. Previous non Type S TL's were seeing about 20whp so since the Type S has a freer flowing cats it might be somewhat less.

it will give you have the gain that the Tl gets. The TL has a 1200 Density cat, the TLS has a 600 density cat and the E-SHift has 200 density.

Interesting. I 'm tempted to try putting a type s cat on my 2005 tl now. Should give a decent gain at about half the price (if everything is bolt on). And no worries about passing CA smog too.

That is not a bad idea, just sucks buying one thing when you know that there is something else that you know is better out there.......
Yeah, CA suck with stuff like this.. I amean why the F-CK should it matter if it is CARB legal... OH well..
