Pro E-Cats

Is there anyone that has installed the pro cats on a 2006 TL? and if so did it change the sound of the exhause a lot? and is there any drone inside the cabin?

Also, I had a 2004 TL and the factory HP was 268 I think. I bough a 2006 and noticed the HP dropped to 258. Anyone know why?

Well first off dude there has been a lot of discussion on this and for the money they are supposed to be the best. You really need to visit the garage and gather up as much info as you desire. There is a lot to be learned there.

The hp didnt drop, they just had a new standard testing (sae) for all manufacturers that came out. Foregin car makers suffered the most losses, especially toyota cause they used to test their motors with less oil in them and other things so that it would produce higher numbers. Now with the new testing standards it is more even across the board.

Thanks for the info.

I would be really interested in the pro cats but I don't want to have to deal with any drone inside the cab.

It really doesn't increase exhaust note that much. Do a search. There have been sound clips on the pro cats with the stock exhaust. They are flowing more exhaust so there will be a slight increase in exhaust note but not much.

Thanks for the info.

Is there anyone out there that has the Comptech Cat back and E-Cats? If so did it increase your exhause noise (drone) inside the cab?

I think I am going to get the AEM CAI, underdrive pully, E-Cats, intake spacer, Comptech cat back, and put them all on at the same time.

Ok, I researched the forum and it seems like the exhaust doesn't drone inside the car. I will be ordering everything soon and hope to find a Dyno in my area to test before and after.
