i say go straight to churches.
autowave might give him the "bendover" special.

How long do you guys think they would need my car to get the info they need for the testing. I could drive down and stay over night or at the best let them have the car for two days but I need the ride to go to work. I am very willing to let them use my car for the testing but I just can't leave it there for any real amount of time.

Hey, Bluesap, How much is it at church's? I'm curious. I know the reflash itself is like $600 (less for an upgrade)
As for testing; I think the door might be closed on that, for now, cuz everytime I call either place, they say they got all the testers they need, and they would call me if they need further support. 04-06 6MT should be all done, and last I heard, they were still working on HB for 5AT.
LOL. It's funny how the hazy status of this reflash causes people to question it's existance...COME'ON, HONDATA!!! YOU GOT A HUNGRY CROWD OUT THERE!!!! YOU CAN'T LET US CALI'-ANS HAVE ALL THE FUN!!!

But YES you can get a reflash, Doug with Hondata does it, through Autowave or Church's....but it can only be done locally, up to this point.

The only up-todate reflashes currently available are for 6 types of tl's;
comptech s'c/d 04-06 5AT and 6MT.....that's it. And you need to get it locally through Autowave or churchs in SoCal. Church's is the recommended choice.
There are other options, though. greddy e-manage blue and greddy e-manage ultimate. In some cases, I think greddy seems to work better than hondata for our engines. I've seen impressive numbers on auto and manual accords J30 and J32 swaps. There's a guy w/ the 3.0 liter s/c'd 5AT accord with greddy emanage that is pulling equal HP and close TQ than me w/hondata reflash. Hondata is not the only choice.

I don't get it, what hold 'em back??? Hellllllooooo HONDATA, care to explain?
They got the product that obviously works and works well, why not release it and recoup all the time and energy they spent on tuning.
Question: what if somebody mails in their ECU to Church, will that work? How much will that be?
Did anybody try?

well my local shop called hondata today to check up on the reflash and they said the project isnt dead but its most likely not going to happen...bummer, guess it takes having 4 cylinders to get any good tuning..i would have paid double for the reflash if they wouldve made it happen...

bummer, it would have been nice, but i'm not surprised at all. I'm pretty sure if they reflashed the s/c's, they could've done something with the n/a's as well. Eh oh well.
Nice try though hondata hopefully, you guys prove us wrong.

There are accords running J32 motors with GReddy units, I'm sure tuning will be practically the same.

no, its not easier to work with, both ecu's are pretty much identical. i think thats the biggest misconception on this board. all your doing is altering the a/f and ignition signals, why would the TL ecu be any different?? PnP harness and emanage is all you need TRUST ME, well that and a good tuner of course
im still using the j30 ecu with my j32 swap and peter is using the j32 ecu with his j30 engine. each one is tuned the same way, call shawn at church auto and he'll tell you the same thing.
i drove my car with the same tune for just over a year, with no problems whatsoever. then when i did my j32 swap, i had it retuned and thats when we found out the stock injectors were maxed out, so i installed some 310cc rsx-s injectors and it fixed that problem. right now, im having a few issues with my car that we have to iron out, but it has nothing to do with the tune.
i really dont understand how you guys can live with that awful surging problem seriously... i drove with the ACM for 3 days and hated driving my car. i had to either drive like a granny or floor it, anything inbetween i wanted to shoot myself, it was that bad i can understand some of you not pulling the trigger for lack of a good tuner in your surrounding area, but you local guys have no excuse. church auto is there and waiting for you.

Compare with my dyno and mrlunecy's dyno both done @ church automotive...
im running j32 ecu with j30 motor and tune with greddy emanage...
he is running j32 ecu wih j32 motor and tune with handata reflash...
we have same hp... he got higher tq is because he had j32 motor...
now to Sean's dyno, he made 328/280 @ same place same dyno machine with his j30 ecu / j32 motor and tune with emanage....
i dont get why emanage is bad??? why has to be hondata??
