Preliminary Supercharger reflash results - looking for a tester

The Hondata reflash for the Comptech supercharged TL is almost due for release, but we need one or two testers to volunteer their already supercharged TL before we do so.

If you are interested in helping call Doug at Hondata - 310 782 8278 x 105. Hondata is based in Torrance Southern California. We would need the car for a couple of days.

The preliminary results are very promising with gains of up to 50 HP and 40 ft lbs of torque. Low end torque is up, and partial throttle hesitation is gone.

Check out the details at http://www.hondata.com/reflash_comptech_tl.html

Looks like it's time to drop the bomb under the hood! (new engine, injectors, high boost pulley, 6mt swap, hondata!)

Nice to see that Hondata has cracked the 3G TL ECU... Great work Hondata!

I know that the dyno graphs illustrated say flywheel torque and power... is that correct??? or is it at the wheels???

It doesn't matter whether it is at the flywheel or at the wheels because every dyno is different. I have tested the same car on three differnet dynos and seen a 50HP difference

What will be of relevance is that the stock 3.2 TL makes 240HP on this dyno. Look at the % change in power.

hmm. So now were looking at around 90 HP total gain for $4500

Makes the HP gain to $$$ ratio a bit better.

What about the HBP? Can we add the RSX-S injectors?

While we are looking at the tuning involved for a high boost pulley ( it is very time consuming and difficult) , the top priority is to get a reliable reflash out for the stock pulley. This reflash is designed specifically for stock injectors.

Calibrating the ECU for a different set of injectors will involve another reflash.

Hondata, The market is so much bigger for a NA reflash, I can only assume that you cannot get the performance results necessary to release one. I am thinking that couple hundred rpms sooner vtec switchover and a few hundred rpms over revlimiter would make alot of us happy.

+1, and also a little more low-end torque like that graph shows!

Let's worry about the N/A reflash after the S/C reflash is done, then we can probably do a petition like we did for the Greddy Exhaust. Top priority is to get some volunteers in CA!

why are both hp and tq #'s marked where they're at?

if you look at peak tq its ,

287 hondata
265 ACM

(22 ft lbs difference)

and hp #'s at the stock 6700rpm redline is,

342 hondata
322 ACM

(20 hp difference)

Theyre just showing the points of the greatest gain, the biggest and best aspect of the Tune is the increased redline, look how HP still builds after 7000 cut off.

this reflash is only for SC m/t right? so i'd say the next priority for them would be a A/T SC reflash, and then maybe a N/A reflash if the R&D will be worth it.
the minute A/T SC reflash is available tho, i'm gonna ditch a semester of school and buy a S/C

If you click on the link Doug provided it has listed there is an application available for both the AT and MT. So go ahead and ditch the semester of school.

hey guys, talked to Doug today since he is working on my car. Anyways, all you 04+ tl with s/c in ca or another state get ahold of Doug. Drop your car off and relax for a few days in so cal.. The sooner you let him use your car, the sooner the reflash comes out for the stock pulley, then the hbp will come after..

The ACM was the best technology available at the time. If it were not for the ACM you would not be running a supercharger.

However, time moves on and better methods of tuning have been developed.

I have to admit, I would rather the HBP reflash first. I would hate to pay for two reflashes. Do we get a discount if we buy both reflashes?

Also, I think all SOCAL S/C TL's have the reflash already, don't they?
