Pointless to upgrade 07 TL Type S Exhaust?

Pointless to upgrade 07 TL Type S Exhaust?
After reading this.. it seems to me that it would be pointless to upgrade the exhaust on the Type S. Do you agree or can there be more power found?

pointless if you do very little mods to it, you would see like a 5whp probly. if you do engine work or forced induction, i'm sure there would be much more benefits to replacing the exhaust. as far as assload of money, i dont think it would cost more than doing a custom exhaust on a current Gen TL. 2 mufflers, a resonator, and pipes, all the same.

I've never come across a reasonably priced OEM system in my life. You'd save a lot of money going the custom route, and you can make it as loud or as quiet as you want.

basically, not sure how much money you save. spend about 150 a muffler, and get a resonator, custom y-pipe, your at about 400-500$ right there. then stainless steel piping mandrel bent, welded hangars, etc, etc, tack on at least 300-400$ in piping, flanges, and bending. already 700-900. comptech system is 975 to your door with no hassle install.
sure you MIGHT save yourself a couple hundred, but remember, those catbacks are mass produced so cost is cut. i go custom exhaust on all my cars for one reason, to form to my performance needs. you might even pay more money than a bolt-on catback, but if you do it right you will get better gains for your application.

One on the right for me
If you go to a dealer I'm pretty sure you won't find an OEM system for under 1000 bucks. You can get more benefit out of a 500 dollar magnaflow system made by a shop than buying the 07 OEM system. There is nothing else to think about.
