Please help! Question about adding more HP & Deletes
Hey there, I know this question was prob asked a million of times, But after reading everyones threads, Im still confused.
1st....looking to add more HP to my 08' TL Base. looking to do the exhaust mods. already did the mid Muffler, I love the sound, maybe could change the Resenator (megaflow one)..for a even deeper sound....guess my question would be...Do I need all 3 cats? I live in AZ now, so i am not sure if that would be an issue? also looking to change the J-Pipe, but only if it adds to better performance and HP.
Sorry for the long thread and thanks for your time!

I deleted my 3rd cat and mid muffler at the same time and it sounded great. Though Ihave an aaccord so it may sound slightly different.
Get the J Pipe first (preferably one that is a long tube, to delete the 3rd cat). I have HFPCs with a V1 J pipe w/ test pipe, and 3rd muffler delete. I get complements all the time on the sound

the mid muffler delete did nothing for you.
if your main goal is power, you'll need to replace exhaust pieces with better flowing nonrestrictive bends.
the first one that every one replaces is the jpipe.
an after market jpipe deletes the third cat and is better flowing.
thats the first mod because its easy and has no drawbacks.
after that, you should re-evaluate your goals.
do you want to continue to free up power?
can you pass emissions without cats?
can you deal with the sound and smell that come with PCDs?
PCDs are straight pipes that replace the two primary cats.
it does have drawbacks.
another easy exhaust mod is upgrading the stock cat back.
to a non restrictive free flowing aftermarket one.

Btw yes you will get power out of it.
Great pipe. I have this one and love it.
No, all three are different companies. Most folks here have tried only one of the above pipes. All of them are good. Thus, you won't find too many that have swapped them up since most are plenty happy with any of them. Each have slight nuances in sound, where 'power' is freed up, construction material, etc. But none of them are 'bad'.
