Performance Upgrades
I have $2500 to spend on performance parts. And my head is spinning after reading thread after thread and listening to clip after clip. Im new to this platform usually only dealt with 4 bangers that sounded like weed wackers. I want it to handle better than stock and I want it to sound like a wolf in sheeps clothing. Any takers?

Coilovers: tein street advance or isc
Those are our vendors, check out the link in the top right.

I take it there really isn't too much difference between all the jpipes and exhaust as far as performance goes. Distinct exhaust tones from what I can tell is.

He will make more if he gets 10 people, there's a thread in the performance section and they are at 7 I think
Well I guess I need to get in on that then
Performance is pretty similar for jpipes but slightly different power bands. The exhausts have very distinct sound and muffler tip looks.

Another Question for intakes. I know that the TL has a CAI built in. Did you notice a difference with the AEM V2?

My drone is almost nothing. Xlr8 prides themselves on using mufflers that reduce drone which is one of the reasons I chose their exhaust. I also put in a larger resonator because when I added the HFPCs my noise went up along with drone. I am very impressed with the level of drone (or lack thereof)!
Looks like you did some reading on the cai which is good! Most don't haha. I love the pairing of the v2 with the exhaust, sounds great during WOT. I researched a lot about its performance and I believe that the v2 adds performance gain once you start opening up the exhaust side. Some say it doesn't but I think it does. However the difference isn't life changing by any means and if I lived somewhere where it rained a lot I wouldn't have changed the intake. But here in San Diego we have perfect weather haha

^ Our exhaust paired with our V2 J-Pipe is probably the best sounding setup for these cars in my opinion. I recommend doing as much research as possible to figure out exactly what you want. You can shoot me an email any time and I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. Tom@ExceleratePerformance.com
In terms of making your car sound and go like a wolf, and staying within $2,500 I'd do as Sockr1 said: coilovers, exhaust, and our XLR8 AEM V2 Intake.
We have all these products and more on our website at great pricing.

hondata + nitrous would be the best price to performance ratio
for all other bolt on i recommend jpipe, pulley, AEM v2 or a custom 4in CAI.
Coilover + corner balancing (not a lot of people do this) + camber kit.

I was thinking that after I did the intake and the exhaust that I would use either hondata or flashpro to accept the additions.

NOS FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best bang for buck on HP / Dollar ratio in our platform! hands down!!!!!! and its fun to go WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
lol. but everything said so far is right on point! V2 intake with any exhaust on the market and J pip you will really enjoy the sound. I did custom, but if I bought one it would be the XLR8 one for sure!

Acura Aspec suspension kit- $640 Tuned by Honda.. need I say more
J-Pipe: $500: Pick your flavor
PSG Rear Sway Bar: $170
Tires: $700-A decent set of High Performance tires <- hands down best thing you can do to any car.
Alignment: $120-You could have $3000 in shocks and tires but if your alignment is jacked might as well not spend the money.
Motor Mounts $329- Leave stock rear mount to keep the vibration down.

50 degrees as a high i get cold when it dips below 50 as a low haha, no way i could ever live somewhere with snow
OP it will also help to state which year and model car you have
good call, i forgot about the sway bar, great upgrade for the money! just go straight to the track setting i wasted 3 years on the soft setting but now i'm on the track setting for the last 3 years.

for 6 spd mods, read up on GM friction modified synchromesh fluid, comptech short shifter, shifter bushings, and check valve delete to improve your driving feel. the fluid is the first thing i would do, it makes it buttery smooth

haha i can speak to that, last night i was up til midnight on my street doing a clay bar, wax on the wheels, and a full car wax, all in a t-shirt and shorts

Damn that sounds super nice lol. i was actually reading up on that funny I always thought that Honda Syncromesh was the best. I guess I was wrong. I was already thinking bushings and shortshifter as well.

I am most happy with the Intake, Exhaust, and Crank pulley (since you said no to my NOS).
Other than that..... cosmetic things like Aspec kit, custom headlights, and good rims and tires make a huge diff.

Definitely look into our XLR8 motor mounts. Our mounts are heavy duty mild steel mounts that have been coated with a satin black finish and improved polyurethane bushings that range in firmness.

I would do:
AEM V2
RV6 HFPCs
J-pipe of your choice (RV6 / XLR8 / ATLP)
Exhaust of your choice (RV6 / XLR8 / ATLP)
Type S front sway bar
Progress rear sway bar
Replace compliance bushings if needed (Heeltoe has some aftermarket ones, but pricey)
Heeltoe Shifter bushings
CT short throw shifter
Weighted knob of your choice
XLR8 motor mounts (your choice on the 2 avail hardness)
XLR8 engine torque damper
XLR8 UR lightweight pulley
Then, save up a little more and do:
Coil overs (your choice brand)
Front / rear camber kits
Any other OEM bushings / links / arms that you might need
PnP TB / runners / IM
Hondata tune
Wheels / tires of choice
Don't forget trans / clutch / brake fluid flushes and timing belt / water pump if needed, and new spark plugs.
