Pcd

Is anyone running the PCD v3 with a resonated xrl8 exhaust v2.

Was curious if the resonator eliminates the rasp or not.

i then welded in a magnaflow #10426 resonator and no more rasp.

^yes it was obnoxiously loud without a resonator. it would set off car alarms when i started it up cold.

what exhaust do you have? i can almost guarantee that you WILL have to add a longer resonator to muffle the noise. just the way it is...

i also have the v3 jpipe, so i have no cats.

i have the base xlr8 exhaust with the purge technology or w.e lol.

I'm debating between the HFPCD and the PCD

gotcha.

i have the V1 xlr8 quads...no "purge tech" or whatever it is.

PCD's are raspy and smelly BUT they're also cheaper and have more power.

HFPCD's aren't smelly or "as" raspy BUT they're more expensive and have less power...somehwere in the 5HP loss range.

up to you man...

Idk, I think the 5 hp trade off is worth it. Don't forget about the $50+ resonator + labor you're going to need to make your new exhaust not sound like some POS civic. With that in mind, the $ figures are even closer.
