Ox Sensor

How long should a Ox sensor last? I have 68,000 miles on the car, and I am needing to change the sensor. Is this normal for the milage? Thanks fo the help folks.

thats a little too soon for your mods(naturally aspirated). the expected lifespan of a 02S is longer than 75,000 miles, but can vary.

Quality of fuel used can effect the lifespan
I run some Redline fuel sysytem cleaner or Lucas occassionaly in the fuel tank
Also the old Seafoam trick to clean out carbon everywhere can help
Did you get a code with CEL light?
Have you pulled the sensor to check for color and blockage?
Have you suffered a sudden drop in fuel mileage- I wont even use the words -fuel economy- with your car!
With those mods I would expect you drive the car at an enjoyable pace
Hence things wear out.
You should see what I can do to a set of tires and brakes at track days!

I am just thankful they O2s dont have to be done every 50 or 60 thou like some cars

The dealer said that it was not that bad, but it was just enough to flag the dash light and show up on the computer as needing to be replaced. I could have gone longer without replacing it, but it was only a couple of hundred dollars. Thanks for the help!

I have never done the Redline, Lucas, or Seafoam cleaning agents before. How do they work, and are there any risks in using them?

In normal driving I usually get about 23-24 mpg, and on the highway I get about 28-29 mpg when I am not enjoying the fruits the car has to offer.
