Opinions... ATLP vs. RV6 J-Pipe
Planning on getting myself a J-Pipe and was wondering if you guys could give me some input on whether I should go for an RV6 package or ATLP.
Side note:
ATLP just sounds so much cooler... name-wise. Lol. Another reason to have their decal on my car.

Which version of the RV6 J-Pipe are we talking about? If it's the v1 then ATLP, if ver. 2 Then maybe RV6 J-Pipe. The test's aren't in yet on the v2. So it's hard to say. But stay tuned.......

lmaoo its funny you say that cause i was thinking about taking the sticker that says ATLP off the j-pipe and recepipe i got today for mike and putting it on my car
Now to the OP as TL advanced said people with RV-6 will say that and ATLP people will say ATLP me personally went with ATLP because i got the ATP exhaust so i gigured i would just stick with the ATLP j-pipe and racepipe also the Atlp J-pipe hangs a little lower then the Rv6 btu nothin crazy (u wont notice unless your car is real low) and the other thing to think about if i think the ATLP is higher flowing? dont take my word on it but i think it is... theres a long thread on it somewhere if you search but you will hear the same stuff i just said

The new ATLP J-Pipe clears very well, so the excuse for it hanging too low isn't really applicable anymore.
Perhaps in the Fall, I'll look more into them. But for now, my R-V6 parts are working flawlessly.

its really just preference. if you think about it, theres probably only around 1-2WHP difference. even if there was a 5WHP difference, you still wouldnt really notice it.

mikes a great guy.now put that aside, ive had both jpipes and ATLP is clearly the better performer. you guys are only looking at peak hp and tq gains, but nobody talks about the low to mid end performance which for me was far more superior with the ATLP. now, im not speaking for everybody since im supercharged. NA gains is a whole different thing IMO
also, im getting extremely tired of all this "whos jpipe is better than whos" stuff. you dont have to be a rocket scientist to look at the 2 designs and agree that the ATLP has far less restriction with that nice 2 into 1 y pipe transition
that right there is the difference maker.

no doubt richie has some of the best customer support out there, BUT ATLP has just as great customer service too mikes a great guy.

eh, not really. I have RV6 pipe. Unfortunately it does have a leak from the neck. It was a manufacture defect. Rich did offer to replace it but it was such a PITA to install it in the first place and I already threw out the box so I learned to live with a little hiss. I would go with the ATLP.

ive had the xlr8 jpipe for 2 days now and i love it; but unfortunately im going to have to go with rv6 cuz right now it is 1.5 inches from the ground and scrapes and there is no way im gonna raise my coils(i already did about .75 inches).
i love being slammed but im willing to sacrafice a few ponies for ground clearance.
anyone want to trade rv6 jpipe/test pipe for my xlr8 jpipe thats been on for 2 days?

Greco, 04accord and maybe stillhere (can't remember) are probably the only ones that can speak to this topic since they're the only ones that have actually had both. May be missing others. From what I've read here, if you're slammed, the RV6 pipe is probably a better fit (until Mike gets the ATLP V2 done) but the ATLP and XLR8 have better flow. How much better is still somewhat of an unknown, but could be partially answered by Greco soon.
