Omg! Aem = Awesomes!
I frickin LOVE this thing.. it sounds sooo sweet when you hit like 3k+ RPM, nice deep growl, I know it might be a mental thing but it's faster, my only complaint is that I did not get an AEM plate frame 
But seriously.. anyone who has a stock TL get this - it's fairly cheap, pretty easy install, and f**king rocks.
I went with blue.. I know someone is gonna ask for pics so i'll post one later.. but it's the same as every other AEM on a TL.. pics don't do it justice - you've got to listen to it in person it's so nice

Yeah AEM is awesome 
I hear it on a friends TL and it does sound great above 3K. I went for a ride in it, It was an auto but it still sounded amazing and his car did feel pretty quick. I like the RED & BLUE Intake pipes, It's really a great looking C.A.I system. I'll bet it could give you 10HP+ on a cool day at above 50 mph. Best of luck with it

I got a AEM CAI and mines came with the license plate frame....got it from racinglab.com...and yea this should be a mod for every TL out there, best mod you can do for $200

AEM intake+Exhaust mods=perfect match for hp gain. I let my friend to drive around my car, and while i was standing outside filming my car i noticed AEM sound got louder after HKS mufflers were installed. everytime he upshifted, it was bird chirping crazy. so i asked my friend if notices anything from intake, he nodded his head and says 'it sounds birds having sex'.

I agree with you Timmah, plus I have something funny to add.
Today when I left work I turned left onto the access road to get on teh highway. Its about an 1/8 of a mile to the entrance and I always go WOT to 4th then slow down (sorta) entering the highway. Well the access road is two lanes and I was in the left lane. There were two girls walking on the sidewalk on the right. I was hitting about 5K in second as I went buy and one girl turned around like somebody came up behind her and scared the shit out of her.
I laughed my ass off all the way on the highway after that. AEM = awesome...agreed

Oh so the exhaust actually makes the intake somewhat louder? Or is it just that you can hear the exhaust in lower RPMs and CAI in higher RPMs?

I get the same growl if I shfit "early"; like maybe shift from 1st to 2nd around 3-4k rpm and you get the growl right off the bat in 2nd.. sexy!

Nah.. AEM has pretty darn good instructions; I followed them and had no problems.. I did NOT end up draining a gallon of coolant like the instructions say; I just had a small piece tupperware and caught what little (like... maybe 1/4 cup) coolant came out and poured it back into my reserve tank

i have one in my Stratus R/T and i never really hear it, maybe im just so used to it, or it has no effect 
when i get the TL im gonna give it a second try because everyone here seems to love them. What exhaust do you have (forgot who had the exhaust thats sick)

Desper - would you rather have the dealer plate or AEM plate?
Atleast with the AEM plate another TL'r might say "hey.. this guy did something to his car.. maybe he's on Acurazine!"
A SiQ TL has the comptech exhaust; im scheduled to listen to it in person on Monday to see if I like it
