Couldn't find any threads on the OBX catback that's on ebay now, it's pretty much the cheapest bolt on option right now with shipping and they have a quad version too. Yes I know people will say buy from site vendors etc and I know the quality is iffy but just checking if anyone has tried it yet, I had some exhaust damage and I'm leaning towards snagging a used stock catback but also looking at Tsudo or maybe the OBX now since I'm not willing to drop a grand on it.
I had a Tsudo Exhaust before on my Lexus IS350 and it sounded pretty sweet. The exhaust wasn't loud but had a nice rumble at start-up/idle/low to mid rpm. I didn't want to spend $1200 on the FSport and found that a lot of people were really happy with Tsudo.
Might be worth doing a Google search to see what people have to say about OBX exhausts in general. I'd be more worried about the stuff rusting to shit than sound.

it's stainless steel. and if really worried, coat it in a high temp black paint.
the welds are more important. welds need to be spot on, or else exhaust leak.
then sound....as it could be obnoxious....maybe why they named it OBX
The only complaint I had about my Tsudo exhaust for my Lexus was that one exhaust was lower than the other one, but that was an easy fix since I just took it to the muffler shop and they fixed it for $10.

The welds can rust too, if not done properly. Not all stainless steel is the same either. I've had "stainless steel" kitchen knives start to rust also.
I'm not saying the OBX exhaust will rust. But a five minute google search will give a good indication as to what the product will be like in 5 years from now. Just doing due diligence, is all.
I remember back when I was on the Trailblazer SS forum OBX did a complete rip off of the Kooks header for the truck, it fit well and the welds were strong but people complained about the inside of the welds being messy. I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna keep the car so I'm not looking to throw a ton of money at it. If I can locate a Type S bumper for a reasonable price I'll try the quad version out.

Yeah that's my other option unless I come across a stock system, both work out to about $430 shipped
If you can find a stock system locally for cheap, i would pick it up and cut off the mid muffler and add in the magnaflow resonator. I found came across a few here in Portland for less than $200 from a part out. Keep searching and you will find one.
If you are planning on selling the car then, I would say just throw in a stock exhaust

Been there done that with the stock exhaust, which is why I don't have one anymore, I already had muffler deletes a Dynomax resonator, I was driving on a messed up road and something caught on the exhaust and ripped it off, minor damage on the rear bumper, I'm gonna wait to see how much insurance will pay. If I decide to keep the car for a bit I'd rather bolt on an aftermarket system, no reason I couldn't drive the car for 10 more years other than I'm getting the itch to get something different and kinda miss having a V8 and a SUV, this is my only FWD V6 car I've owned. Either way I gotta fix it first and winter is coming quickly so I don't wanna mess with it longer than I need to.

I have the HFPC's with a custom built exhaust up to the TL-S dual tip mufflers. It sounds very nice, but the mufflers are starting to make noise due to the mileage and the elements. I ordered the TSUDO J-Pipe, and just in case I had the welding reinforced with additional SS and grinded smooth. I am waiting on the OBX Dual tip catback exhaust, which I will do the same if necessary, in order to set it up all at once. I have done my research as well as can be done with the information available on the OBX and the other systems available.
The fact that OBX may not be a strong name out there, yet, really does not worry me. Like anything you have to give it a chance, and based on what I have seen and heard on the OBX system, it sound like a great deal. This of course without considering that there are proven systems like the XLR8, RV6, ATLP among others which are really great systems. I've had my car since new, and being clear that I am not sure how much longer it will be in my garage before I change it, the investment on the OBX makes perfect sense. Once I set it up I will upload a video with the final results.

That sounds so good!!! thank you so much for that video i'm so glad someone actually pulled the trigger on this exhaust, I've watched the accord video so many times but really wanted to hear it on the tl!!! I think i'm buying this now!! lol
I got the exhaust last week and was waiting for the test pipe to arrive. Guess what it arrived TODAY. I will be installing this tonight myself even if it takes me all night. Lol
was curious for anyone who has bought this exhaust what gaskets come with it and what gaskets did you have to buy? Mine should be here tomorrow and hope to install Tuesday
I put mine on about 6 weeks ago. Just for your information, it does have some deep droning for which reason I put a second resonator after the first one. The shop did a great job and the droning went away. Still, after the first month of use, it sounds even better. Hey, call break in time or something like that, but a few weeks of use makes a difference in the sound!! it is a very well manufactured and strong system, a real bang for the buck!! Hope this helps!

I forgot to include that I also put a STUDO J-Pipe when I installed the system. So a quick breakdown, RV6 V3 HFPC's, Tsudo J-Pipe, OBX Catback System.

How bad was the droning? Like do you feel it was completely intorable? Was it only at certain rpms? Do you feel any gains from the tsudo j pipe and obx exhuast? How was the fitment on the tsudo j pipe and overall quality?
Sorry for all the questions lol but your feedback is much appreciated.

No problem with the questions, that's what ACURAZINE Community is for. To tell you the truth, it was at a lower rpm. Prior to this system I had a custom made exhaust and it was good. It is not intolerable, it's that at that time it was stronger than before so I noticed it more. As I said, I went to the shop and asked the guy what could I do. He put a Borla resonator and that did the deed. I had never changed the J-Pipe and my car has 177K miles, so when I put the new system on with the TSUDO J-Pipe, I did notice a more responsive motor and a quicker pick up. Am I saying it gave it more horsepower, maybe, but I know for sure the engine is working more relaxed than before as the cats in the OEM J-Pipe had to be clogged beyond, you know, like the COPD commercial where the elephant is siting on the guy and he cant practically breath, once he takes his MED he breaths much better...something like that!!! Hope this answers your question!!

my box arrived as we just finished putting the 2 post lift in the garage, this was the easiest exhaust system to put in by far. The system came with everything you needed gaskets and stainless steel nuts and bolts so i didn't need anything but some silicone to get those rubber exhaust hangers loose to slide off and on the mufflers. The exhaust is really nice it has a nice deep sound to it but isn't loud. i do agree with rwcanfield it does have some droning to it but i don't know if i'll just deal with it or not yet. If not i'll do the same as he did but a borla resonator in it. I also installed my k and n filter which defiantly let the car breath a lot better and with the exhaust on it it definitely is happier now especially taking off. I would like to do the resonator delete for the intake but don't want the exhaust much louder or the droning any louder.
finally got my two post lift up and just in time for my exhaust
the exhaust system came with everything from gaskets to bolts it is a direct swap

it really does look like the stock exhaust
jpeets82, congrats on that set up, I'm sure your happy with the results! I will recommend on item which in my case gave the motor an even deeper sound and better performance, consider the RV6 HFPC's, definitely a must! Enjoy that ride Bra, looking good!!
