Nitrous pull in 08 Type S

Short N20 pull
Short pull in the 08 Type S with the spray. In a mall parking lot up to about 80mph lol.

8 more MPH in a mall parking lot and you get transported back to 1958.

Damn dude, what is your AFR at full throttle with NOS on? And do you know at what AFR does the ECU start to mess with timing?

Afr at WOT is 10.9 on the bottle and 12.1 off. A little rich by standards but car feels great and I have taken multiple snapshots under full power with the bottle and the ECU doesnt so much as see a hiccup. Not even one blip on the misfire count. If it aint broke dont fix it. I am sure once I remove the cats it will change and maybe lean out a little on its own.

YEAH its a little hairy. I didnt realize how all over the place it really is until I watched the video. I am usually looking at the road or the A/F meter and thats it. It loses traction almost instantly. Its fun. Dyno slips coming soon. I promise. My bottle set up will never make it thru tech at the track. They are sticklers about blow down tubes and stuff like that so I dont know if thats gonna happen. I dont wanna munch a hole in the rear pan for the tube.

That straight line looked tricky. Props btw! Be sure to stick with cold plugs and higher octane for when you go with bigger jets.

Any plans to take it to the track? Exhaust mods should really wake it up.

I've been telling this guy to put nothing but 93 octane... hopefully he listens... v-power all the way...

I can't wait for a redo with the cat deletes...

and also craig, you should really consider coilovers... because it really got loose cuz the front raised up... megan coilovers I think will be a good add to this platform....

93 would be the absolute minimum on an 11:1 motor on laughing gas with no way to retard timing. It would not hurt to have a splash of 100 unleaded in there. I assume you guys are monitoring knock?

Koni Yellows are great at controlling the rebound and subsequent front end lift. Might be a cheaper alternative to coilovers.

I think the cat deletes on this car are going to give huge gains. I would love to see a before and after dyno. The thing is, nitrous cars have a strong sulfur smell, especially without the cats so if you come across someone who has been in the game for a while, they're going to know what you've got.

I've always been afraid to use nitrous. The Zex kits always seem to catch my attention because they are supposed to be safer than most. I don't know what to do. Nitrous on a brand new car...?

Ah come on it is not that tough to get it track ready.

I would love to run a 25 shot to get into the 13s. I have always ran a NX kit and was very pleased.

lol. I am not sure if I would've put this in if I didnt have access to the Honda diag tool. It monitors so many more parameters than any generic scan tool. I only run 93 in the car and like I said, after numerous pulls with full datalogging playback the ECU doesnt see anything amiss. I am planning a trip to the dyno a week from Monday whether or not the rest of the exhaust shows up. I will get some pics and numbers of that venture up as soon as I have them. I am in the midst of trying to get my daily driver civic up and running so funds are now beeing spent across a broader platform. I hate to pull that suspension out again. I would most likely do coilovers in anything but we will see a little later down the road. I like the concept of the emanage but I am hoping Hondata comes out with something by the time I am ready to hit that route.
