New Type-S... looking for ANYTHING!
Hi,
This is my first thread. I just bought an Acura TL-S in Kinetic Blue. This is my first Honda product ever. I recently had 2 Subaru's, an STI and a Legacy GT.
I sold the STI, and got myself a TL-S. We're currently trying to sell the Legacy GT, and getting an MDX in it's place...
Anyway, I'm looking for any aftermarket part support I can find! I'd love to get some sort of exhaust system, or intake for this thing.
One more request, does anybody have any pictures of the FACTORY Lip Spoiler kit for the 07's?? I can't find it!
Thanks guys, look forward to being here!
-Matt

Awesome... I'll do that!
I guess it's going to be a while before we can expect any exhaust systems, if any?
This thing sounds so good, I can only imagine what an exhaust would do for it!
I hate to do ANY chopping or fabricating... I'd rather get a bolt on system, and keep the factory exhaust intact. No muffler shop, here...

Ok, the AEM CAI and the Outlaw engineering Thermoblock spacers come highly recommended. I was the first to get thsoe for the S because no one knew if they would fit or not but I ordered both of those for the 3.2L 04-06 TL and sure enough they bolt in perfectly.
If you have the 6spd get the comptech short shifter, that thing is awesome. I LOVE IT!!!!
I have 19" Ron Jon's and couldnt love em more, also for suspension I am running Tein SS w/EDFC, great suspension but a bit pricey.
I also have the DVD convertor to watch dvd's and stuff on the factory nav screen, awesome add on. Always amazes people.
Just click on my username and find threads posted by me, I have always posted a lot of pics adn stuff.

Thanks man, comtechusa.com for the ss. You will be so pleased with it, it tightens it up so much it feels great.

The comptech exausht fits the 07's as far as their site says. The tips would have to be cut off your stock system and be welded on to the comptech as the comptech ones are not as free flowing with the bumper. Also check out the rear sway bar to reduce body roll in turns.

What makes the normal TL CAI not fit the TYPE-S if this is only a displacement change of the same engine? One would think that the intake piping and airbox assembly would be in a similar place just from a logical standpoint.
I have an 06 RSX-S and my friend just got a 07 TL-S, so he is looking for a CAI and I just dont see the obvious differences between the motors that would dictate a need for a completely separate intake?

That's the next thing I'll get... looks great!
I just bought the carbon fiber trim kit for the front and rear...
It covers up the black plastic around the cupholder, the heated seat buttons, and around the entire ventilation set-up in the back.
Looks REALLY good!

If you have a 6 speed with a Comptech short shift, you MUST get the aluminum shifter bushings to tighten up that shift even more... The cable PN's are the same from 04-07, so they'll work across the board.

Don't forget a SKUNK2 weighted shift knob and Specialty Formulation tranny fluid for the best you can get in Honda shifting...
