Mine doesn't surge a lot. I haven't had a CEL yet either. Maybe a FPR problem? What code did it throw?

Pull the CEL code first, then you'll know where to begin

Mine used to surge alot, but not anymore. Pull the code need to figure out the problem. If its knock 1 sensor 1 just reconnect the knock/map wire back to stock.

Tim, so is c&c auto doing your install on monday or a different shop local to you? If you do let c&c auto do your install in southern california let me know so I can help you with the surging issue.
pm me or call me if you let c&c auto do it.
Also Tim, no fuel pump mod its the fpr mod.
cool

Hello:

I have found a local shop, who has done 3 installs of Comptech SC. I'm looking to them to do the install this Monday. UPS has the SC that was shipped from Escondido Acura. I will pick the boxes up this morning.

I will place a call today to the Hondata place to see what they might recommend.

There has been many SC installed and if done correctly, from the reports I have heard, work very well without any additional tuning.

Why have some folks had problems?

Tim

so what im gauging after all these comments is that the fuel mod may have no been done correctly. i guessing when he put the fpr in the "crush box" he may have not hit it properly.
soon i will know the CEL and go from there/

did they crush it with the old or new tool for the fpr?... If you throw a code most likely its not the fpr. It could be, but most likely not.

Tim, its good you found a local shop so you dont have to drive down. Good luck.
