New owner of 07 type S
New owner of 07 type S
Well All I can say is WOW ... I traded in my 03 type S and I can not believe how far things have come , this car is unreal!!! I am trying to find the AEM CAI does anyone have a link ?? I cant find one for the 07 all I see is the 06 ...
Ya I cant believe how far they have come My only complaints would be ... I wish the ride was a lil softer ... The placement of the E brake (your sure to touch the persons leg , not bad if its a hot ass blonde) ... The shifter shifts into manual shifting way way to easy , If I rest my hand on the shifter and drive a lil aggresive it pops over ... Id say they are about my only complaints That I can def. 100% learn to live with , Id like to feel a lil more low end torque AWD would be nice , Eh?
I just got off the phone with AEM , Called them Directly I actually hung up and called back to see what a different person would say , both told me that there is no AEM product that will fit 07 type S , After explaining that I was looking at a picture of The AEM on a 07 type S the one guy actually went to Acurazine and looked for himself he said "I highly reccomend NOT putting the 04/06 CAI on the 07 yet he could not give me a good reason why ... It was very odd , I am ordering mine as I know that it will fit but i thought it was odd how aem was stern and against using the 04 and up style AEM ...

I'm not sure, but I dont think they've even said it's 06 compatible. (vague recollection, but this might have changed)
The reason is simple. They are covering their asses. You will not hear a peep of support or a blessing or even a hint that it should work from them, because if something goes wrong with it on your car, you could sue the crap out of them for saying it was or should be ok.
Now, do they think its worth the trouble to certify it for the 07? given the industry perception that our cars are not highly modded, its doubtful anytime soon.

I got my AEM intake off Ebay for $220 shipped... you just gotta look for the deals, since there's 10 different ways to search for stuff... lol
I saw it for $190 shipped, but missed out on it. A week later the lowest was $230... so things change.

I to just traded in my type-s for a TL Type-S Auto. Will a K&N Air filter for a '04 TL work in my 07 TL-S? Anyone here do the mid-muffler/resonator delete? Reccomendations on doing with a leased car? I figured i could have them do flanges so I could replace when the time came.
