New '07...little help?

I've just grabbed an 07 base CGP with 77k on it. It runs like new and I grabbed a 4 yr / 80 k warranty for damn near cost. With [Canadian] summer coming around july, I hope to have a ton of mods installed. So far the WORST thing about this car is these god awful rotors. I've warped one already, and after reviewing a few posts via the search button I've come to believe the slotted Stoptech from Excelerate are a solid OEM upgrade. Pads as well, but that is a different topic completely.

What I would like to do consists of small engine upgrades, as well as a few style. Engine wise I am looking at (like a similar topic below) CAI vs OEM K&N replacement, this Dynomax resonator delete, possible some mufflers though I don't want every cop in a 4 block radius knowing I'm driving over 3k rpm. Also I noticed these NGK Iridium plugs are fairly good to install over stock?

I believe this car hasn't had anything replaced/upgraded on the engine (except PS hose). With that being said, what are a few recommendations you guys may have that would benefit my needs?

What I need: nothing, the fact I'm getting into a car turning the key and driving away is enough.

What I want: A little more power than it has, nothing that will require super modding, or will cause harm to the engine (may void my warranty?) Also if there are any ways that I can reduce my mpg without driving like a grandma that don't require the hundreds of dollars this tuner piece costs, that would be great.

Take it easy

NGK iridiums are stock plugs and are good for 105k miles

I suggest you upgrade the jpipe to an aftermarket jpipe with better and more efficient bends.
there are two latest and greatest jpipes which can be found from http://store.excelerateperformance.com/ and http://rv6-p.com/
They both gain about the same horsepower; so I would not split hairs on which one gains more.
this is a nice gain of about 15 horses.

I would Do this mod before you chop up your factory exhaust. because chopping up the factory exhaust might lead to sound problems when adding a jpipe. and you're mostly after performance gains and not SOUND.

I've come to believe the slotted Stoptech from Excelerate are a solid OEM upgrade <---------Go with those.

Excelerate offers a acurazine brake package that comes with pads and rotors.

Do the intake resonated removal. There is a DIY guide on here.
MM delete will give it a bit of a growl and for mufflers it depends if you want to go quad, Socal Automotive sells them (though they are on back order or sold out atm)? Also, there is a memeber selling some on the black market (sticky rice or something is his user name).

Here is link that will help you out:

Appreciate the quick response. I guess I'll stick with the stock plugs. Good call on the jpipe spaceman, but I think I will take care of all surrounding items before that unless I get this raise.
